"the bunker"
have we forgotten that congress signed off on iraq...including many prominent democratic leaders like tom daschle, kerry, chuck schummer and "hill"........

hypocrites?....or maybe they made a sound decision based on flawed intel.....

strangely enough, the dems actually had more resistance to removing saddam from kuwait in "91".......WITH a u.n. mandate....

"91"...senate-52-47....house 250-183

iraq invasion...senate...77-23....house 296-133...

of course most of the "nays" coming from democrats...

the majority of dems actually wanted to leave saddam in kuwait and use sanctions.....lol.....

knowing what we now know about sanctions,we know that many european countries don`t understand the meaning of the word....let the u.n. adminster sanctions?.....we can`t even get an objective investigation out of volker......who is now trying to block subpoenaed investigators(who quit in protest of volker`s protection of kofi annan) from testifying in front of congress...

maybe if the dems had their way, saddam would have kuwait, and a stranglehold on a decent portion of middle eastern oil....

and just imagine if the israeli`s hadn`t taken out his nuclear reactor in the late 80`s...

this may just be the same scenario playing out with iran.....unless,of course the israeli`s can do it again....

you think gas prices are high now?........

things will get much stickier....particularly if iran gets the bomb...while the u.n. again twiddles their thumbs...

anybody think that anyone, including the u.s.,stops iran from doing what they want if they get a nuke?.....

with the prospect of nuclear war looming?

as i`ve said many times,we did in iraq what the intelligence dictated....despite the u.n....

was it flawed?...maybe...or maybe the technology is in syria as we speak......

we may never know....

but, when one of the theocracies or dictatorships in the middleeast get the bomb or some form of wmd, things will get very interesting...

"Of course i'm not saying that. I'm just correcting Wayne, once again, on his assertion that the world is behind us in Iraq, when in fact nobody is."

Why do you continue to put words in my mouth--never remotely said the whole world is behind. You will find many countries are against what ever we do anywhere if you note U.N. voting records.

What counts is if Iraq is for it and by their voter turnout I'd say yes.

With Bush-Blair-and Howard all winning re-election I would say the majority in any country was decisively against it.

I can tell you who without a doubt was against it--Suddam and his crew--the terrorists--and liberals--one down--two to go.

and I am always open to be corrected but you will have to do it with facts --not opinion, liberal logic or NYT editorials ;)

Congress voted on the same wrong info the Bush administration either bought into. Or just pass it on with out question.
Last election ended up with folks hoping for the lesser of two evils. Time will tell. Right now I cant see where anyone would have did any worse.

I'm not putting words in your mouth at all, i'm just going by what you have posted in this thread and also in many others. In this one you cite the re-election of Blair and Howard to be evidence that the populace of those countries support the war. That's not true.

In other threads you throw out some nonsense mentioning the 54, or whatever, other countries that you consider being 'with us', and that they support the war, because they have a platoon of men over there, or whatever.

What counts is if Iraq is for it and by their voter turnout I'd say yes.

Really now. *That's* what's important? Normally, I consider what's best for our own country and go from there.

Not clear what you mean here. Maybe it'a a misprint, but that's what i've been saying all along, usually in response to a comment from you about a country or countrys being 'with us.'

I can tell you who without a doubt was against it--Suddam and his crew--the terrorists--and liberals--one down--two to go.

Ahhh yes, the old stand-by. If you don't goosestep along with the neo-cons, then you are on the side of terrorists and Saddam. Hey that was effective in the pres campaign, why stop now?

lol- you know how it goes, Freeze, I was getting tired of them and they were getting stale. However, I have confidence that you'll be providing me with some fresh material before I know it. So please go on a posting binge, my man.
