First of all, I've got the Pats at the back end of a bunch of teasers giving -9, -10, -12 or so. They are not posted so that is irrelevant. But I'm going to put them at the front end of a significant teaser going into this week. I'll give it at the end.
I've been reading and watching about the weather, the field, and all that stuff, the only thing that has me worried. It's really windy from first-hand reports from the stadium, and cold as as a freezer with wind chill.
Some thoughts:
1. New England not only plays in blizzards in Janury, they have actually been accused of creating bad field conditions. They are tough as they come.
2. Brian Billick is a terrible coach and makes especially bad offensive calls.
3. The Patriots got a wake-up call last week, especially the defense.
4. The bitterness of Bill Belichick knows no limits. The whole team is on a mission from the dark side. They will not let up. Ya gotta love the dark side.
5. Not only did Philadelphia not create a blueprint for hanging with the Pats last week, but Belichick, not Billick, is the one most capable of learning from last week.
6. Randy Moss had a terrible game last week and was pointed to for taking plays off. Brady stood up for him and I think that Moss will be playing all in tonite.
7. The Ravens will try and play their Superbowl tonite, maybe, but they face a string of games with Indy, Pitts, and Seattle (with one game against the Dolphins). Put a fork in them.
I might be waaaay off on these thoughts, and it is MNF, but it is the Champs vs a weak not-even Contender.
ANYWAYS...I'm going with NE on a 10-pt pleaser:
NE -8?
JAX -? (vs Carolina)
Dallas -? (vs Detroit)
GOOD LUCK AND KICK BACK WITH A COLD ONE IN A WARM PLACE TONITE AND WATCH THE WEATHER AS THEY PLAY. I'm thinking about another teaser with Buffalo replacing Dallas and catching a field goal in the snow vs the Dolphins this weekend, also.
