A little more about Warren Sapp, and the continued 'pussification" of the Packers

The more I think about "the hit", yesterday, the more pissed I become. Not at Warren Sapp. Not at the fact the Packers lost. Not at the arrogance of the Bucs.

I am pissed at my beloved Packers. They were absolutely gutless in that game.

It all started as the 1st half came to a close. Packers nursing a well faught 7-0 lead. (and I do mean nursing!) Why did Sherman have Favre pull three straight "end the half" running plays? There is a time and place for this move, and giving the opponant the ball with plenty of time to score, is a bad play. I think he did this because he knows Favre's tendancy to get picked in these games. He would rather trust his defense, than his supposed 'best player'. That speaks volumes, boys. I would think you at least make an attempt to move the ball. Maybe a sweep, or screen pass? Now, you let Tampa march up the field, and get 3 points, and the momentum, heading into the locker room.

Now, we get to "the hit". This happened fairly early in the third qtr. If the coach is so upset about this, and the players, too, from what I read in the paper today, why was Sapp not laid out at some point in the game? Because the Packer players are pussies. They knew they were the second best team on that field, right from the time they stepped off the plane. That sucks, but it is 100% true.

They play with zero intensity on the road against high quality teams. It's been that way for 6 years, now.

Now, after the game, Sherman decides to jaw-jack with Sapp. That's fine. Be a stand up guy for the team. But, what do you see in the replays of that comfrontation? Once Sapp stands up to the coach, Sherman looks away! Makes no eye contact, and 'runs away'! Yeah.......you sent a real message, coach. You looked about as tough as Jerry Seinfeld!

I have a very eerie feeling that the Packers will be heading to Tampa again in January, and you know what? It will be their last game of the season. They saw to that, yesterday.
