Sure, they will lose to LSu, FLA and bama this year, while mopping up the softer teams in in each division, but they are recruiting very well in LA lately and playing in the best conference will only add to their ability to recruit a wider terrritory. I agree that top to bottom SEC is always deeper, but this year I, personally, think the gap has been closed. There is no way any SEC homer would have agreed last year that A & M would smoke Miss St at home and hang with LSU or that Missouri would possibly be ahead of the mighty Gators at the half. SEC D is still the best, well besides Miss. St., but their Offense is way behind the times.

my man, i realize that 6 of my best years were spent as a student in baton rouge, but i mean it when i say that i feel bama will not destroy lsu. bama is untested, and will now face the fastest defensive front in the nation in the most hostile environment possible against a team with revenge in mind being given no chance in the press.

lsu wins the game more handily than the score will indicate. jmo.

I also think LSU is the play, I was simply stating that Alabama should have to smoke LSU to keep their top spot, what have they done to earn it besides being Alabama from the SEC. If you switched what K State has done with Alabama. And Vice Versa. Alabama would be argued as one of the best ever. While K State would probably be ranked 5th or 8th.
