I also think LSU is the play, I was simply stating that Alabama should have to smoke LSU to keep their top spot, what have they done to earn it besides being Alabama from the SEC. If you switched what K State has done with Alabama. And Vice Versa. Alabama would be argued as one of the best ever. While K State would probably be ranked 5th or 8th.

Good luck to your tigers!!

as is often the case, i agree firmly with your take. gl today:toast:

Hopefully LSU will beat Alabama today. If Oregon and KSU win out, they'll play in the NC and the SEC will be on the outside looking in.

your butt hurts so bad that you root against specific conferences. i love it:mj07:

Everyone place large bets on Mississippi state in the second half. We have a history of blowing big leads. I still think we win but it is going to be close at the end.

If Miss St. showed more in the 1st half, then I would lol!

Cie, believe me, I know how bad Texas is. Mack Brown is a fraud and he needs to go for Texas to have any hope of getting back to the top.

You're obviously biased. Things ebb and flow. The SEC isn't as strong this year as it has been. Try being objective about the SEC from top to bottom. There are a lot of weak to mediocre teams in the conference. I'm not "rooting against specific conferences". I'd just like to see a team from another conference win the NC. Believe me, a lot of people feel that way. It makes CFB more interesting to see things spread around and not have one conference continue to dominate.

So how does one not unload on Florida second half. Seriously. Win by 3 or more. Wow!! This may cement my hate of the SEC today. But Im rolling Gators

my texas alumnus neighbor is a fun guy, not to be confused with a funghi. he and i routinely needle each other about lsu vs tex, or sec vs big 12. this guy hates aTm, the sec and les miles, in that order, with a passion. he is actually rooting for lsu tonight for the same reason you are. i guess you horns all think alike.

i just dropped off a bottle of wine on his doorstep with a card that reads, ''my condolences''

seriously, i like mack brown, but it is sad when a program like texas falls flat for this long. he needs to go imo, and you know a slew of coaches will line up for that job. i'm quite sure the next guy in will get things moving quickly in the right direction. too much name recognition, too many resources and too much in-state talent for mediocrity.

what are the chances brown will be relieved of his position after this season:shrug:

I like Mack Brown as a person a lot. He's a very good man. He's just not a good coach. Word is that he's coming back next year. IMO, the only way he's not back is if Texas gets blown out in these last four games. I never want to see Texas lose, but if it helps in getting Mack out the door, I hope we do lose big for the betterment of Texas football. There would be no shortage of top notch guys wanting the Texas gig. Lots of unsubstantiated rumors floating around, but nothing will happen unless Texas loses big.
