"the bunker"
or rather a question regarding the best p.r. scenario for the nfl....

what`s the bigger boon to the nfl`s image from a p.r. perspective?....

would it be the saints`story?....with the katrina angle?.....

or 2 black head coach`s meeting in the super bowl(chicago and indy)?

i think the colts are in...from a football perspective,i think the pats are nowhere near as good as they`ve been in past superbowl years.....i like the colts alot here....

p.r.-wise,you have dungy, the black, gentleman head coach.....who lost his son recently....and the "manning winning the big one" angle....make no mistake, the colts are this year`s nfl darlings.....

the nfl would looove them in the super bowl.....

the bears/saints game is almost a toss-up from a p.r. point of view...

but,the "2 black head coach`s in the super bowl" thing is mighty powerful stuff....the media would have instantaneous and multiple-repeated ejaculations over this scenario......

the best game?...would have to be a colts/saints shoot-out....a new england/bears super bowl would be a p.r. disaster.....a very dull match-up....

soooo, gardenweasel surmises that the colts are a must play.....with a lean to the bears......

bears a pr disaster, maybe.but the bears get the best ratings of any team thats left.they are 2nd to only the cowboys..i dont think it matters whos left after tommorow.the superbowl will still be the highest rated sporting event in this country even if it was the jags vs vikings.i would like to see the saints in it,then maybe they get a new stadium and stay put in the future.would hate to see the leave new orleans.the new orleans saints have alot of charchter being from there.

btw,i for one hope the streak of no black head coaches in the superbowl contiues.not racist ,just like streaks like these.i hope manning never makes a superbowl either.and when i watched wrestling as a kid i rooted for the bad guys.not racist ,just like rooting for these type of scenarios,i find it more entetaing....if rod woodson can say that hes rooting for an all black coach superbowl,i can root for an all white one, again.

even though i took the colts,i`m with you on the manning issue...

and all due respect to new englanders, but who, outside of a few gamblers, new englanders and those of us that are manning-saturated really want to see the pats in another super bowl?...

i`m torn...sick of the pats...and i`m all manninged-out...
