Wednesday:

7* West Virginia +14
If the Mountaineers can stay within 2 to Miami on the road, they'll stay within 2 TDs to VT at home. The Hokies are torn between revenge over WV and looking ahead to Miami. Take the points.

Thanks, guys. I enjoyed the game thoroughly, although it does mess up the drama of next week's showdown with Miami. Oh, well, that's another story.

Thursday:
7* Georgia Tech +3
Bought a half point on this one, but mainly happy to be on the home dog. This game might go similarly to the West Virginia game on Wednesday. Georgia Tech has played remarkably well all season, and I feel they have an excellent chance of winning this one straight up.

Saturday:

7* Akron +10.5
I've been tracking UConn for a while, and won with them in a couple of games in the beginning of the year. I feel that the Zips are the play here. I took it last night at +10.5, and see that tonight it is already at +9 at some places. Timing is everything.

10* Ole Miss -1
My first impulse as a capper was to lean toward the team with 2 straight losses over the team with 2 straight wins. Usually we get good value in such a situation. However, being more familiar with these two teams than most, I think Ole Miss is in an excellent position to win this one convincingly. Hogs are minus two top tailbacks Cobbs and Howard, which will hurt them a lot. They might turn more to a passing attack since the Rebs' passing defense is ranked so low. However, if Texas Tech hadn't thrown for 600+, the ranking here wouldn't be so low. I'd think any team who's played Texas Tech will have a lower passing defense ranking than they would have otherwise. The main factor in this game is that I don't think the Hogs can stop the Rebels' offense, which is by far the best in the SEC and one of the most explosive in the country. Arkansas will have to outscore the Rebs in this game, and I don't think they can do it in Oxford. Hogs have won the past two years, and the Rebs are ready for a little payback. These guys honestly believe that winning the SEC West is a possibility, and they won't have a letgame after two straight wins over Florida and Alabama. Arkansas is a very physical team, but the Rebs manhandled a physical Alabama team, which is something they haven't done in years. They are a tougher bunch than they've been in a while. Rebs match up well against the Hogs in all areas. Eli Manning will get an opportunity to show the country why he is the best quarterback in college football. Another big win for Ole Miss in Oxford.
