I looked at the lines before retiring last night and one came to the surface like the cream in fresh milk.

Tor/Wash -2 & 183

Especially with the "news"....MJ's marriage is on the mend and he won't be getting a divorce. Let me tell ya......I've been there/done that......and "reconciliation" of your marriage takes a load off your mind!

Can you magine with MJ's MILLIONS......that had to have affected his focus.....it just HAD to. Free from that burden......who knows what he'll do on the court with Rip back hitting full stride.

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

-I think the Wiz -2 looks way too easy.....is the only "fly-in-the-ointment" here!!

BUT.....

-The over has some distinct possiblities tonight IMO and here's my take:

-We have two teams that are averaging about 6 pts each above their seasonal averages in their last 6 games.

*Wiz ave. 92/gm and are ave. 98 in their last 6

*Raptors ave. 93/gm and are ave. 98 in the last 6

Wiz last 6:

109<---Rip back in starting lineup with 21 vs Indy
97
93<---Rip returned from IR and came off the bench
86<---against that intense Det defense & no Rip
112
94

Raptors last 11:

100
91
97
106
107
92
97
91
89<---Against the stout NJ defense
109
92

-Both teams have been scoring well into the 90's in recent outings.

-The last meeting between Tor and Wash on Dec. 16 was a 93-88 Wiz win....but....Carter was held scorless the entire 2H!!

-Davis is listed as questionable tonight with the flu...so the Wiz may not have his 9 pt/gm average.

-However, White returns from his 1 game suspension and Nesby has been coming in for Popeye and adding a surprising scoring punch (like the 10 he had on Sunday).

-I like the facts:

1)MJ's marriage is on the rebound

2)Rip hitting 21 (2 above his seasonal ave.) on Sunday says he's back to "starting" form

3)A Wiz team that has "chemistry" and is jelling with Rip back

4)Carter's "scoreless" 2H last meeting....don't see a repeat of that

Therefore.......

Play'n--->Rap/Wiz o 183

&

Play'n--->Wiz -2

--------------------------------------------------

1-2...LN

SAC/NJ u 205 W

SAC +1 2H L

Minn -4' L 2H<---K G's ejection killed me....o'well

98-61-2...YTD ez

You were right about the retirement, ez. I wanted to spend more quality time with my family. But now that I've gotten that out of the way, I'm back. I think we have an excellent stable of promising young talent. I want to help mold that talent and teach the "team concept". I think if we all come together, we can win..........

Anyways, couldn't find anything on the database dealing with star players and marriage reconciliation, but what you said makes sense.

Toronto's third and final game of road trip. 3rd game in 4 days. I think the 3rd in 4 scenario weighs more and more as we get deeper into the schedule. Toronto hasn't had any games lately where they could coast or rest starters.

Washington has had more of a chance to relax of late with two games at home and a day off in between. The last game with Indiana should have given the Wiz starters a little extra down time on the bench.

Wash and over.....also, if you think Mike's due for a good game (which is reasonable to assume), you might consider playing a prop or two on him.

as good a reason as any!

as good a reason as any!

seriously, as i've mentioned on many occasions, you're write-ups speak for themselves.

i'll tell you what though... if you saw the cover of the chicago sun-times newspaper today, you may wonder why mike is reconsidering. there is a picture of juanita that has her looking like michael jackson

Gotta give props to...

Gotta give props to...

the man who is forever going out of his way to congratulate everyone else on a winning night.

From what I can see, you had a superb 3-0 night with 3 outstanding calls on the Washington game. Excellent thought and analysis went into these plays. Great job!

I look foward to seeing what you come up with tomorrow. :D
