a question about alex arthur/guzman

thes odds for the over 9.5 are very generous....+150....and guzman hasn`t exactly been a knockout beast at super featherweight(although he`s super talented,imo).....

is arthur so lame that the books figure guzman will get his 1st superfeather k.o. before the 10th?....

i saw that he was stopped by michael gomez...but,gomez can be dangerous and almost everyone can overlook a guy or just have a bad fight....

it`s in scotland....is arthur in waaaaayyy over his head here?.....

I was not trying to punk you and I am sorry that you feel that way.

As normal, your reasoning for the over on the Arthur fight is very solid and you know your shit when it comes to boxing.

I was raised in Scotland before immigrating to Canada, so I have probably had more exposure to Arthur than most and just wanted to give you a different perspective.
At one point he was being touted as the next Ken Buchanan. The problem is, his skills were not even close to the hype generated.

I think this fight will be a replay of Don Curry/Colin Jones with the overmatched house fighter being cut to pieces by a master boxer.

I am constantly getting shit from my relatives because I don't blindly follow the British fighter but I make more money betting with my head on a guy like Mayweather than they do betting with their heart on a guy like Hatton.

Hope I did not offend you as I respect all opinions on this forum.

This is the only forum that I post my picks on and it's because I like the guys here.

enjoyed the ken buchanan reference...and the info,wee.....

o.k....maybe arthur`s way out of his league....may not have been a hotter commodity than soto before guzman beat him...and he took some shots from soto and didn`t budge......

still,that +150 has me by the coulumes....

maybe a very small play just for the action...

I second what WeePaul said. Nobody punked Box...just a bunch of opinions here. Box is one of the best cappers on board so don't go and get soft on us Box. I always want to hear the other side and your opinion is one I take seriously.

My take is essentially a good Euro level fighter v Elite level. Arthur will need to hurt guzman and often to win this so he'll need to get close to get that left hook in there. NO way he can outbox guzman. I just envision guzman eating him up. IMO, Arthurs corner saves him around 8 or 9 rds. One of the reasons Guzman hasn't been getting kos is because he hurts his hands often. Obviously that could play a part in this one going rds so the over is a possibility.

I just thought you came off a little brash, acting like the fight was already over before it started. If we have learned anything over the last few years, its that laying heavy wood on Unders are sucker bets. I'm not saying that this Under is a sucker bet, I just think that you shouldn't be so confident in your wager that it makes you criticize my wager, esp when my wager is a +140 underdog

Again, nothing but respect weepaul, and I will be more cautious with my final wager based on your confidence in the Under
