I ask this in all seriousness...

How concerned are you that there is a very real potential if by electing McCain that Sarah Palin may be our President sometime in the next 4 years.

While I can respect your views on wanting to elect McCain, I honestly can not believe anyone seriously thinks this women is ready or capable of running our country, especially with the current state of our nation. Does this not scare you?

in all honesty, I think Palin is as qualified as Obama if not more qualified. Neither one brings much to the table in the name of qualifications.

PS I really don't like McCain either other than my great respect of his service in Vietnam.

palin is as qualified as obama ..... think about that ! I don't understand how anyone can believe that.....but I do know some people think like that.....for any one that does...do you think she could earn her parties nomination if she was part of the field that ran for president this year.....

.

How can you honestly say that? Just listen to Obama like or dislike him he has a strong understanding of all the issues. Can you say that of Mrs. Palin?

He is clearly a very intelligent man. A Columbia grad, a Havard Law grad, a constitutional law professor. Palin attended numerous 4th rate colleges and has nothing further than a BS that took her 6 years to achieve. But she was a sideline sports reporter...I guess that is close to being a law professor.

Only on a political experience level how can you say she is more qualified:

7 years a state senator, 4 years a US Senator vs 6 years as a mayor of town of less than 10,000 & a Gov for less than 2 years of our least populated state.

It is a concern of mine. The risk/reward for me personally has me on McCain, but I've said all along that neither McC, nor Obama are worthy of the presidency.

I prefer to have power split between the two major parties in the executive and legislative branches. In fact, I might be voting democrat next month if this were a republican-controlled congress since it would limit the massive attack Obama is attempting to launch against the self-employed.

The problem with experience at a legillator level, is that there is flatly no accountability. And 7 years as a State Senator doesnt qualify anyone for anything, except another 2 years as a State Senator. Not sure if you are aware of the day to day of a State Senator position, but the skill set needed is minimal. I was personally familiar with a SS of 8 years, that went on to be a Mayor of a fairly large city....and failed MISERABLY on account of the fact he had no experience managing people, budgets, issues, or taking direct accountability for anything. As a Mayor and especially as a Governor, there is HUGE accountability as everything that happens if your state or city starts and ends with YOU. Budgets, Human Resources, Foreign Affair issues, etc - countless and endless issues that the head of state must attend to every day. And dont give me this "least populated state" - that is a MS Media talking point that means almost nothing in relative terms. Now 7th largest economy?????? That is worth talking about. She is easily more qualified on a political experience level to run a country that BHO. And please dont use the "US Senator for 4 years" as that is also wildly innaccurate. Just my .02

I forgot to add that Obama has zero executive level experience, while Palin has 2 years. Still, I do not want any of them running this country at this time.

So for you than the person who is closest to your views is the better qualified person?

I just cant see how people would be comfortable w/ the 'you betcha' hockey mom who really doesnt even understand the issues & is nothing more than a cheerleader as our President.

You sound like a fool.

See I say something like "most republicans" are idiots, and the idiots among them identify with the "most" instead of thinking they are the minority.

heres another opinion of mine. most democrats are idiots too. Anyone who actually buys into thsi nonsense and identifies with either side is a fool.

Case in point, Colin Powell, nominally a republican, supports obama. He probably never even really declared himself a republican, not in the way you republican kool-aid drinkers do, but thats what its been made out to be.

You party-partisan idiots are all alike.

You don't get it, I am not married to the republican party by any means. I often wonder why it's all or nothing. There are things I like about each party. Get it straight, dems and republicans alike are putting it to us. I laugh at those who back either party blindly.

Of course, I also laugh at those who make absurd statements like yours.

Under a mask.
I actually voted for McCain as a indepentent I admit ,didnt know much about him except for his veteran status.(And Forestal incident, which is BS IMO.)

As election got closer I realized ,that after his pick for VP,along with the way he expresses himself:)scared ),Along with his way out there views, not to mention his hot-headedness ,how can anyone in there right mind vote for this man.

Not to mention that the GOP has really destroyed our nation. It scares me to think what would happen if ticket got voted into office.

agreeing with anothers Views is not the reason to elect a president... There 30 people that I agree with but none of them should be president....

I think the whole "Sarah Palin has executive experience" argument is kind of a joke. She has executive experience runing a state that has less people than the county I live in. I own my own company that has rental properties, but that doesn't mean I have executive experience. The president of the US is a leadership job. You don't get voted in because of your qualifications as much as you do for your ability to convince the country you're the best one to lead. The only thing Palin has convinced me of is that she's not very bright.
