yes i remember you ...
FYI i spend a minimum of 10 hours a day doing hoops, is that enough ... i make my players meals, sweep the gym with wet towels every day and set up the baskets, lift weights with them, scout games in person and watch endless tapes of upcoming foes, or help ex-players who are coaching elsewhere with scouting reports or just mentoring them in situations where parents and administration or players become a problem, meet 30 mins every day with my own team prior to practice and we talk about life lessons and how to become better people, or how to avoid drugs and alcohol and treat women or the less fortunate with respect, often times helping the under privieldged on field trips ...
i also help them with their english papers or find mentors in the field where they might be struggling; or find them jobs once they get out of HS or college; and thats not mentioning talking to college coaches on long phone calls to get them scholarships.... i also dvd games off TV for my team and make copies for them, and ref our other teams, male or female, scrimmages that are in our program and cheer for them at their games ... i go to countless x-players games that are in college or friends of mine who have kids in youth leagues then open my gym to work with them on their fundamentals for free on the weekends ... i wrote every player lengthy xmas cards telling them what they mean to me and have written them many other notes throughout the season ...
and BTW, i have prob used 50 per cent of my 2500 dollar yearly stipend through my 30 years of coaching and bought kids shoes, shirts, caps, meals, camp tuitions, gatorade and a sundry of other items they might not have been able to afford ...
now what exactly else do i need to do for kids ... im always looking to find new ways to enrich their lives
get with it, rrc, try seeing that the most important thing going on in the USA right now, outside of kids, IMHO, is our murdering, lying, crooked government ...
im sorry i dont spend ENOUGH TIME for you helping kids ...
what have you done in your life that can scratch what i have contributed
take care
