President Obama say's that we are in a sputnik moment ( The race to the Moon between America and Russia in the 60's)..Quite ironic to make that comparison, when just last year, the President halted the space program for man/women exploration and we will hitch a ride with the Russians..Indeed!!

The State of The Union Address was short on specifics and long on more government spending..Oh! Sorry, I mean investment..

President Obama says jobs, jobs and jobs..The same old rhetoric from his previous speech and we know what that brought us...A huge debt and twice the unemployment rate when the President took office of just under 6%...The president stated at that time that we must urgently without delay, pass his almost trillion dollar stimulus program in order to keep the unemployment rate under 8% and we know that didn't happen either..Instead, we got another huge government takeover of healthcare that cost taxpayers another trillion and regulations that will only kill more jobs and less quality care than we have now..Don't be fooled that this takeover of our healthcare system will increase quality care..It just won't happen and the current baby boomers now coming into retirement will only exacerbate the overwhelming costs and a scrutiny of what may be a government panel on what you may be entitled to receive. Is this what you want?

President also stated that he wants to freeze the current budget for the next 5 years and reduce the deficit by $400 billion in the next 10 years..Do these liberals really think that the American people are so stupid we can't do the math..Now, I do realize that math and science curriculum in the US falls far short of our western counterparts, but even an idiot knows his reduction will not add up..Geez, our interest on the debt is about $2-3 billion a day and that adds up to over $1 trillion on the interest a year alone..So much for reducing the debt..This administration has criticized the previous administration on what they called fuzzy math, well this administration has not been honest with their budget numbers and took fuzzy math to a new level..Remember jobs saved!!

The President came on the scene during the campaign 2 years ago with "Hope and Change" and of course riding the wave as a moderate, but only to govern from the far left..With help from the liberal media, we got totally snookered and we elected a President on a huge ruse and his first 2 years has absolutely shown that.

This past November, the democrats got an ass kicking not seen since 1938..Not the shellacking as the President stated after, but a rebuke on his policies and huge government takeover of private business, only enjoyed in France and other extremely socialist countries..Of course the liberal pundits and even the President excused this election as nothing more than folks are upset with the high unemployment and partisan bickering..Yeah the folks are upset...Again, these folks on the left are in denial and could care less what the American people think..Afterall, the democrats and their liberal friends in the media have long thought that the folks are stupid and they know better.

This country is more polarized than anytime in recent history and President Obama with his heated rhetoric like "Our enemies" (referring to Republicans) and demonizing anyone that criticized his policies and calling Wall Street "fat cats" has elevated this vitriol and heated rhetoric. Let's not forget the home invasion by Unions when they feel the need to picket..Just like the good old days when they came with baseball bats..

President Reagan brought the country together and the American people felt proud to be an American, while President Obama has divided this nation as never seen in recent times..Both men have the quality to give great speeches, Reagan used the office to bring us together and expound on the greatness of America, while Obama finds excuses and attacks anyone that disagrees with his policies.

His world tour of apologizing to the Muslim community about the ills of America was totally out of proper Presidential decorum..History of American involvement in Muslim countries has never had a real significant presence..He should know that, but like many of his speeches, are only words without real substance.

Blaming all the worlds problems on America is a cheap shot and unbecoming of a President...

Now President Obama is in a run for his job and started out on the 2012 campaign season, while telling the political folks that now is not the time to campaign for the next elections, but get down to fixing Americas problems..Yeah more rhetoric. Incidentally, he is today in Wisconsin campaigning. Go figure! Actually, President Obama has never left the campaign trail..

President Obama has made promises after promises only to find that governing is far more complicated than campaigning..His foreign policy, after much criticism towards President Bush, Obama's foreign policy has absolutely not wavered from President Bush's foreign policy..Like previous Democratic Presidents, foreign policy has never been their strong suit. All his heated rhetoric language against Bush, seems now that Bush had a pretty good policy.

The war on terror, again a problem and not well thought out by this President..He can't come to terms and call it what it is..

After the November elections that gave the Republicans control over the People's House, has given new hope with the American people that divided government is back and President Obama's policies will be derailed or limited and they should be..

With exception to his cabinet, Obama's inner circle has been replaced with moderates and folks that have a business mindset, not like the academians that only theorize how things should be..Will this major staff change make a difference? So far, the business community likes it and the American people can finally see that our country is truly the people's county and not some far out progressive ideology that will only have us become another banana republic..

Remember, words are cheap and it is substance that makes for real change that we can believe in..I think we are getting closer to bringing back our country from the brinks of the abyss and allow the people to govern from within, rather than govern from an ideology that will only make you more dependant on big government and in the end, it's you that will determine your destiny not the government..

This country was built on the individual freedoms and the entrepreneurial spirit of people to better their lives, not be hog tied by government and be dependant on government as the progressive left feels where you belong.

Congressman Paul Ryan, Chairman of the House Budget Committee from Wisconsin, gave the Republican rebuttal with sound objective reasoning that took 15-20 min., to Obama's lengthy speech that was short on specifics and long on the usual talking points..Enough said.

Bring on 2012..

Have a good day

Another right-wing cut & paste artist. I giving you the benefit of the doubt that you're not writing this drivel yourself, Varok. I'm generous that way... :0008

Pretty sure they are his work, Trench. They are posted in his own forum, I assume they are what he sends out to his newsletter signups. This one was from January, the other one from February. All, of course, with hotlinks back to his Website, but that's Jack's business, not mine.

That's what I get for giving him the benefit of the doubt. Thanks Chadman.

It's weird. I can't explain it but I've noticed that if I read Varok's posts while listening to The Dark Side of the Moon, not only are they in perfect sync, they actually make sense!

I say what is..You are in denial..Understand. In the end, your ideology will lose. That I'm very sure off.

You are exactly why I don't like your type.

You are dishonest and a very disingenuous in your approach.. that is very typical of a progressive..You cannot be trusted.

Have a good day

Nice specifics.

My ideology? Denial? You don't like "my type?" I'm dishonest and disingenuous? Care to elaborate? Why bother, right?

And yet, you still wish me to have a good day. Who's being hypocritical, Varok? You can save that part of the tagline for people you do like...
