Was checking some stats. Not surprised by the power numbers but he's hitting .392? Holy shit.

25 HR, not halfway, so well on pace for another 50-burger. Would be his 4th joining Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa as only players with 4 50-HR seasons. Now I'm curious about highest average during a 50-HR season; I think Mickey Mantle his .352 or something his triple crown year (1956; is way I remember a friend's birhtyear, or vice versa). Barry Bonds only had the 1 50+, the 73, where he hit .328.

I had to google-refresh on his past MVP awards. 2022 and 2024. Spurned by the voters his rookie year, finishing 2nd to Jose Altuve. -4000 currently? Is that correct? Google sent me to ESPN which lists the -4000. My only book ain't listing it and fooling around searching is for the birds. I'm not used to working with such ridiculous numbers but isn't that an implied probability of 97.5%?!

Blue Jays are somehow significant so maybe July and August will look okay if I squint just right.
A lot of mediocrity, this year. In baseball, I mean.

I think I OD'd on baseball, once or twice.
Options galore if you got the stamina.

Sorry for the rant.

Too wasted to super-quote properly. Thanks for the well-wishes BadAngel. I was a train wreck in the hockey forum for a short recent. Me and betting baseball are like me and having one beer, maybe an analogy that works. Still love the idea of getting the better side of lines for sports.

With all the baseball betting options now, there must be a ton of things to exploit if you stay on top of the flow of the season. Can get obsessive, or at least did for me for a couple of seasons.

I saw two others numbers--allegedly recent--for Judge to win AL MVP. They were each some common, I know them for...oh...one was mgm, without logging in showed.

-10,000 and -20,000
No shit. Saw it. No offer window from a log-in, but recent, obviously, odds were sought. Might not even super-shift the implied probability.
-10,000: 99.0%
-20,000: 99.5%

Nobody is going to bet a million to win 10 thousand, especially with the money having to sit in someone else's hands while the bet is live.

I didn't consciously think what I thought the Judge MVP odds were (prob. buy -400 before copping to this -4000) because I hadn't been thinking anything much of the season other than to see if the Jays can make some noise and to mildly keep tabs on standings. I am ignorant of who is smoking this year to know if Judge has any competition, but the 25 and the .392...confirm as maybe Friday game...Judge 1-for-4 with his 26th, a solo shot in 2-1 loss. Average dropped to .390.

Those lines are saying 'this window is closed', no?
Zilch value in putting it as a component of a parlay, too.

That was cool. but why has my music stopped
