I prefer to just stay out of the discussion because arguing with Hedge or some of the other conservatives was a waste of time and energy. Hedge is a Republican for one reason and is not because he's read all the facts and made a cognizant decision to fall in with those ideologies, it's so he can veil his self hatred and loathing by hiding it in ignorance. Perfect example is his post calling me a racist. The comment itself is baseless, without merit and borne of stupidity. That is the sea that hedge swims in, the stupid sea. He regularly makes wildly moronic statements as if they are fact simply because he heard someone else say it, I.e. Rush Limbaugh. The problem is that he isn't smart enough to make the distinction between fact and rhetoric. His idiotic behavior goes largely unchecked in his world because, again, that's the sea he swims in. He's not mentally competent enough to argue with so this is what you're left with.
