Senor,

Is there any reason to believe this is more than just a fluke? What would you say Buffalo is doing to teams that make them not cover the next week? An 0-5 streak is not that unusual. There might even be another team out there with a similar streak...and probably one whose opponents have gone 5-0 after playing them.

It is feasible that this is a legitimate 'trend'.
A couple of years back in AFL (That's 'Aussie Rules' everyone :D ) teams that played Essendon won only 3 of 22 games the week after!!
They were the dominant team at the time and a combination of the physical and mental pressure they applied in a game noticably affected the opposing team for the next week.

Maybe (just maybe!) teams come out (relatively) unprepared (physically and/or mentally) the week after facing a defense that gives away points so easily??
Maybe the defense are a little more conservative after being torched by Drew and the boys!
Hell, maybe it is just a fluke.
Certainly worth considering though

Teams that played Washington are 4-0 ATS in their next game.

so maybe not so much amazing as it is interesting.

its the continung quest to pick winners!

if something works we use it and dont question it. Especially if its proven over time and tied in with other edges.

if proven to not be founded , forget about it!

Sorry Senor, didn't mean to make it look like I was showing you up. I was going thru the teams one by one and really was only expecting to find one other 5-0 or 0-5....so posted the first one I found. Then found a couple more. Would have been better style to post 'em all in one response.

Who knows, maybe there is something to it. Can keep an eye on it at least and see where it goes.

He'll want to show the fans...but can he? Big difference between wanting it and being able to do it! Almost every team wants to win, but half of them don't each weekend. End of the year there are always a whole bunch of "must-win" situations...and usually the team that "must-win" doesn't!

Is Couch the type who can rise to the occasion and elevate his play and silence his critics? Or the type who will crumble under the pressure? I know which way I am leaning when we're talking about a guy who cries after the game....

A couple years ago it was Tampa and before that it was Green Bay, right after they won the Super Bowl. But both those teams had strong physical defenses; something the Bills definitely do not have. Five games is probably too early to draw any conclusions.
