Maybe this will stop all these talking heads from spouting how the ACC is the most superior conference. We all know the best basketball is played in the northeast :)

id agree with that statement if UNC wasny in the ACC :) ....that team has the talent to outball ANYBODY, they could beat Indiana by DD because of their frontcourt...Marvin WIlliams, their 6th man, is better than any of the Illini's big men IMHO

live in big 10 area.
have michigan state tonight.
but its a bad basketball conference. illinois and msu are the only two that could take on anyone in the country. wisconsin is a solid team but nothing special. after that...garbage.

Did you notice how quite Billy reddick ass packer was at the end of the game :mj07:

Not a word out of the fat fawker :mj14:

As far as the rest of the big ten being garbage, I would argue that Iowa couldn't be considered garbage as they beat Mich St. and should have beat Illinios...twice :scared , however, I have no legs to stand on after they shit the bed in the first round against Thuggins and his gang-banger's so I won't mention it :mj21:

truth be told, the second best team in the big ten (MSU) beat the third best in the acc (Duke) and the third best (Wisco) in the big ten beat the 5th best in the acc (NC St.)...

This comment is fairly generalized and every game has a different feel style and concept. But if you are just going to compare one conference with another based solely on a single elimination tournament, then the big-10 style of play has a definite advantage going into it. In general physical teams do better in the ncaa tournament. Not every game, but as a general rule, two evenly matched teams, the more physical team has an advantage.

Also remember that teams like Wake, or UNC, or others that score a ton play on the same rims all the time. It really does make a difference for a Duke team who can score a lot to play on a court that they are used to or rims that are comfortable for the team. These games are played on neutral courts for the most part, or at least foreign cournts to the teams. Some have better lighting and backdrops and a ton of factors.

For example yesterday UWM and U of I were playing on a court that was covered underneath by ice used by the Chicago Wolves. The floor was cold, the gym was cold, and I've heard from a few people that the shooting backdrop was pretty bad. Advantage to a more physical team and a team that rebounds well.

As for the Big - 10 being better than the ACC, who knows. The big 10 has 3 teams left and the acc 1.

I just personally think that in the field of 64 one game elimination tournament, the physical style of play suits the type of ball most often played in the midwest.

it's just shit talkin', it doesn't need to be broken down and analyzed. It's just nice to see the Big 10, which was stepped on all year long, finally get some recognition. 3 in the elite 8 is pretty strong.
