ncs/ mia over 48: i'm dying to make a play on the nc state/miami game as both schools are my alma maters. i lean to the wolfpack but feel the line is artificially low already, i see a line of miami -6 as being more realistic. that said, both teams are playing different looks on defense today, with the pack missing a couple of players due to injury and the hurricanes benching three defensive starters in favor of underclassmen. with this game having meaning for both teams and soft field conditions, i'll go out on a limb and put the game over this relatively high number.

duke +7-: blue devils have had their hearts ripped out by narrow losses in this game the last two years. this year their confidence is higher than ever while carolina has to be demoralized by the last two week's losses.

six point teaser with bc teased down to a half point and va tech teased down to 1-: hardly ever play any teasers, much less in ncaa football, but just have a hard time visualizing either of these two superior teams losing at home in games of this kind of significance.

hey ray. been around a bit here and there but the past 18 months have been a bit hectic. mainly slowed down by sight issues; had two surgeries for detached retinas and one remaining for lens replacement. kinda slows down reading and handicapping but on the comeback trail now.

thanks ba. seeing well enough to read and type now, after the first of the year should be back to normal.

going to add a play for this evening.

wake -4: wake still the better team with bowl motivations. if vandy couldn't get up last weekend to play the weakest vol tream of two decades and salvage something out of this season, they are unlikely to do so today in winston-salem. groh won't let the deacons let down today before post season play.

Under a mask.
Gl with your plays.
People been knocking the ACC as a weak conf.
Im glad that GT defeated Georgia today.
Just goes to show it is a competitive conference.

Nothing flashing ,but can compete with anybody.
BC just took the lead 7-0!!:00hour

It was a nice w/ by GT for sure. ACC is a competitive conference....but

No you cant compete w/ anyone. You can not compete w/ the BIG 12.

Their best is clearly better than the ACC best.

Thats debatable

No its not.

If we take the top of the Big 12 vs the top of the ACC your teams would get smacked.

No one in the ACC can touch OU or Texas.

Then we just roll out TT, Okie St, Mizzou as the next tier...

End of story. No debate.

One or 2teams can play D in the big 12,thats it.
Half if not alittle more would put a bruising on most of the big 12 teams.Break out the hottubs after a game with the ACC.

Please tell me what teams in the ACC would have any chance whatsoever competing against Texas or OU on a neutral site.

If you can at least admit there are none, you will some credibility w/ the rest of your ACC debate.

OK ill admit Texas would be tough,But Oaklahoma? In a word stoops:mj07: ,Heck I know Texas has won a national title, but even the coach for Texas ,I believe Mack is his name, has been known to have a brain fart from time to time.

As far as 2 teams .I could probably extract the teams that dont have a chance (Duke,Virginia)

Mack Brown has been very very good as the Texas coach. Are you saying all ACC coaches are great? I would take Mack over any of them.

He has the longest streak of 10 win seasons in the country.

You lose any sense of being taken seriously when you say any team in the ACC sans Duke & UVA could play w/ Texas & Okie.

Sorry man, I tried to give you a chance. :sadwave:

Comparing conf. is crazy.Your a texas fan so your biased to that conference.Look at the Kansas /Missou final another ridiculous high score.

I understang that some games are high scoring .Just seems everyone is in the big12.
No conf. is snobed out over anybody .

Im watching the BC/Maryland game and I dont care what anyone says ,it may be low scoring, but after the game break out the hot-tubs,smashmouth football.

After watching some of this BC/Mary game I am convinced.

Texas would beat either of these teams by AT LEAST 3 TDs minimum if the ACC brings their A game.

Texas plays more smashmouth than these boys & they are a lot bigger & faster.
