Where it is real F ing COLD
Nexium worked best for me, Prilosec didn't help
me much, didn't like the cost, when I was done with the bottle I didn't take anything, for the most part and I am fine but can have a flare up. For me I know if I eat a certain food I can expect its

Diet is usually the #1 problem but not always, and what are some people suppose to do? Eat like rabbit the rest of their lives?

I develop rings in my esophagus to the point where I can't eat.....they are common and called "Slotchsky's rings" ....they can get them out by shoving an endoscope down there and inflating a balloon......the gastro doctor told me they are from acid reflux and to take a Prilosec every day......I don't know I never had heartburn or anything.........I switched to Omeprazole because of cost and had another occurrence 4 or 5 years later.......oh well it's easy enough to fix.......no complaints here

I was on Nexium and it's no better than Prilosec.

I was on Acifex but after a couple years it quit working and they put me on Nexium. I was on Nexium for probably 6-8 years.

Diet is not the problem for me.

Back in 2003 they had me on Acifex and then switched me to Nexium. Both times I had endoscopes there was never any signs of acid reflux in my esophagus or stomach but the Dr. insisted that was my problem. In 2007 I started having issues with swallowing food, water, etc (don't be a smartass lol) and I was losing weight because I couldn't eat. I went back to the same Dr. who still said there were no signs of acid reflux and to just stay on Nexium. Well I went to another hospital and got a second opinion and by the point of them diagnosing me with Achalasia I was down to 110 pounds and couldn't barely even swallow water. My skin was grey and I was taking in about 300 calories a day. I had no energy and I looked like death was approaching. When I had my surgery- a Heller Myotomy with Partial Fundoplication- they said it was the most severe case they had ever seen. They couldn't explain why I had it because I was only 31 and had no acid reflux. Took me a week to heal to a point where I could eat normal food. Then I blew up and gained 15 pounds in a few weeks because I could eat again! I can't imagine what would have happened if I wouldn't have gone on my own and gotten a second opinion. I have 5 tiny incisions barely visible anymore on my belly and I joked with the Dr. because if you connect the dots from the incisions it is an M and Dr. Motto did my surgery. It was like he was marking me since this was the most unexplained case he ever had.

I wonder what the long term side affects are for talking all this shit you guys are talking about. I just can't imagine .Change your diet and your heartburn/acid reflux will go away. Common sense you guys.

Likely less than taking pills to get your dick hard :sadwave:

4 years ago, when i had surgery for acute items related with the pancreas, liver, bloodstream infection, massive bleeding etc. etc.

the great doctors repaired 12 esophageal varices.....have not had to taken even a tums in 4 years for any reflux.

though i take other medications like nadaol as preventive..

amazing job by the surgeons keeping me alive.

not sure if worth it, but maybe a endoscopy might find any bleeding which might cause severe reflux...im no doctor though....so not sure.

best of luck with the condition you have.

I do have to apologize to you. I mixed you up with rusty when I thought you didn't have a job. I thought you were an unemployed racist bigot simpleton moron. You can cross off the unemployed part. At least for now.
