I got rid of that program months ago. Ver. 5.83 couldn't get rid of 2 of the embedded Gator files.
Much to my surprise ran 6.0 & found 108 files
all of these were from manufacturer (tracking company) file type (Mining data) .

I had a bunch of those mining data one's too...anyone know what the hell they are?:shrug:
its basically a tracking file for media advertisement as pop ups, its traces info about the websites you use,

Thanks for the update. I used the Ad-Aware 5.0 and it showed only 3, then used the 6.0 and is showed 51. I usually run the scan about twice a week and thought I was keeping ahead of these assholes. It should be illegal to get away with this crap. I don't think the heads of these companies would want ME looking at what they are doing on THEIR personal computer.

yeah, i'm like time to make $$$ (dollars), and i scan my computer pretty much every fawking day cause i download a crapload of music, movies and I surf the net....
most of the stuff i find are cookies in my temporary internet folder...nothing TOO much to worry about.
found about 30....
but the updated version found 2 adware files from november 2002 that the old ad aware version did NOT find.

scanned with adaware 5.0 and found 2. Downloaded 6.0 and found 109 All of them were tracking company/data miner.

it did find more spyware, but it doesn't delete them, it just moves them,

Ran a scan with 6.0 and I found 5 files...
Then I clicked on the "check for updates now" and it had an update, I updated the 6.0 and ran a new scan and it found 53 new files...
thought I would let everyone know, so you can keep your ad-aware updated...
