In his final tuneup at Akron Monday night, Wright gave up one run and two hits in seven innings, throwing 98 pitches. His velocity was 93-95 mph and he delivered a varied mix of pitches.
According to Aeros manager Chris Bando's report, ``He kept the ball down and had good life on his pitches.''
Washburn coming off 124,125 pitch games and 17:28 gb/fb out ratio last 3 ....check wind..could get hurt by long ball..should see bullpen around the 61/3 mark...setup man Hasegawa has been struggling...as is rest of bullpen this week..minus troy.
Washburn two excellent outings last two games have been because of him getting ahead of 75% of the hitters....w/ DuMuth behind the plate he might not get that edge...hitters ump w/ his 60% strike rate and almost 9 walks a game...could hurt Wright also..being his first start.
