Trgaic, no doubt about it. Sad, no doubt about it.
But, in my estimation, the anger is pointed in the wrong direction.....at least a little bit.
Yes, the monster that assaulted that kid deserves the worst kind of punishment. No doubt about it.
There are too many things wrong with this picture.....
It makes me sick to read about another professional athlete having a child out of wedlock. There are literally thousands of children out there fathered by professional athletes that do not live under the same roof as their Father. Thousands.
Multiple children with multiple mothers fathered by the same professional athlete. It's an unbelievable number and a brutal miscarriage of ethics and morals permeated throughout professional sports.
If Adrian Peterson is so devestated, if this loss is so crushing, why didn't this beloved child even live in the same State as his Father? Why didn't this child live closer to his Dad so his Dad could look after him?
How could a millionaire with more money and resources than the top 1% of people on Earth leave his child with a person who would associate with a thug who would assault a child?
How does someone, a millionaire with the resources to have a nanny, a live-in child care-giver, or around the clock supervision, leave a child in the care of someone so irresponsible?
Multiple children with multiple women. It's an awful situation and it's rampant in professional sports.
Does this tragedy happen if that child and his Mother lived in Minneapolis with Adrian? Maybe, but it's doubtful, and way less likely.
I have no problem with having multiple children with multiple women...as long as you take care of them...all of them!!
Adrain Peterson can afford a private eye to watch over his kids. Adrian Peterson can afford a nanny to watch over his kids. Adrian Peterson can afford to pay for housing for his kids and their Mothers in Minneapolis so he can be closer to and more protective of his kids.
This is a tragedy...for sure. But please don't let that poor little boy die without learning a little something about how his death could make the lives of future children a little bit better. Kids need protection, kids need their Fathers to look after them, kids need to live near their Fathers so they can be looked after and cared for. Kids need to know that the two people that brought them into this world will do whatever they can to make sure they are safe.
Found this in another sports forum.........
You probably should have just left it there.
