pittsburgh,pa.
I'm one of 11 people left. 960 in original field at 100 a pop.

at this point no one has any big boys left and this is a very tuff week.

think this could be the week that this thing ends/or at least gets down to a few left.

my options?..

stlouis tonite?..my thoughts?..

do i side with vegas, who def. is smarter than me.
vegas made stlouis a 4pt. fav. obv. expecting them to win.
scary to go against a 10-3 team looking to clinch playoff berth.
stl. has improved tremendously last month or so.
don't like that stlouis is off 2 blowout shutout wins.
they look primed for a letdown here.
stlouis is not an elite team, like your ne-den-gbay type teams that can sustain excellence.
but vegas know this and still has made them 4 pt. favorites.
4pt. favs win straight up at 58%
at some point gonna need to show some balls to win this thing
but is tonite the nite to pull that trigger?
going against a 10-3 team?

other options?..
nyg over wash.

hate playing on a terrible team like giants
but they are at home and favored by 7 pts.
favs. of 7 or more win straight up 85% percent of the time
they have played better last 4 games
wash has been terrible all yr.
and looks to have quit on this season many weeks ago.
was has 7 players listed as questionable for sundays game
helu, mccoy,d.jackson and 4 def. players.
so 4 or 5 of their best players are banged up.
giant blew them out at wash earlier in season
it is a div. game and wash may show up?

pitt over atlanta

tuff to take my hometown steelers
they usually lose to bad losing teams
both teams playing for playoff spot.
but pitt. is one of the best/winningest team available to me.
and i do have a strong angle that supports pitt in this spot
but don't like playing road teams especially with pitts track record
of playing down to their competition.

car. over tbay

don't think i can touch this game.
even though car is still in contention
tbay 2 wins have been on the road
newton is out
car off big road upset win/letdown spot

cinn and cleve

don't think i can use either team here
think cinn is better team.
but don't want fuk with the manziel factor.

dallas over phill

dallas best team available to me
actually do like them to win this game.
but very tuff to take road dog
phill needs this game off a loss.

jets over tenn.

side with vegas here?
jets favored on road?
yes they have been playing better
but that some serious balls to use them here.

anyone have results for home dog su winner next road dog
thats ariz. position tonite?.would love to see these numbers?.

I'm thinking safe pick is giants,
with stlouis tonite my 2nd option

anyones thoughts welcome?.this thing is a huge payday?..dont want fuk it up.

thank,burgh?.

is there a reason Eli shouldn't torch Redskins secondary again..

in New Jersey..

against a team w/no QB and a new coach with his job in peril already

a team in turmoil..

http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/jay-gruden-takes-another-shot-at-rg3/ar-BBgDmPP?ocid=HPDHP
When asked if Griffin would do better in a different offense, Gruden gave a harsh assessment of his quarterback's abilities.
?I don?t know what offense they are talking about,? Gruden said via The Washington Post. ?As far as offenses that I have studied in the National Football League, we all run similar dropback concepts. Not everybody runs the zone read.
?We run the zone read to try to help him out. We run a lot more play-actions and bootlegs than most teams. . . . If you play quarterback in the National Football League, you?re going to have to drop back and throw it.?
Ouch.

I would lean to the Giants or Rams.

As you consider going with the Giants, here is an article from last week which I read just after kickoff on Sunday, and if I had seen it earlier, I would have immediately made a play on the Giants last week, as a follow-up to their meltdown against piss-poor Jacksonville . . . But in the week-to-week world of the NFL, I don't know what it portends for this week, I just thought the article was worth sharing.

i think PITT steps up and plays good ball

ATL cannot rush the passer and ben should have his way with.

though i hear you about pitt sometimes being jeckyl and hyde.
i think, for me, its pitt, then stl, then nyg, that order

I would take Giants for sure... you get rid of a crappy team, but one which is at least showing life. The Deadskins have quit and don't see them winning this game and likely not even keeping it close as all 4 Giants wins have been by DD's. Turmoil for Giants, but Deadskins would probably forfeit their season if the commissioner would let them right now.

Don't take Pitt, their secondary is awful and this game will likely be a shootout. Plus Steelers are the hardest team to figure as they lost to TBay at home and the Jets. Also smoked by the crappy Saints.

Jets as road chalk would be too crazy to ever consider.

Rams should win, but Zona will come inspired and Fitzgerald being back helps this offense. I still like the Rams, but if Zona can force turnovers, they can win with a below average QB.

I'm sure if KC was available, they would be a play or Baltimore for that matter, but it's survivor and once a team is used, you can't use them again. Hope you win the $96K!

I was in the same one Steel. I went out #399 as you can see I had the same name on the poll as I do here.

Awesome you're still in it. I lost when buff beat Detroit. Fuckers missed 99 FGs that game.

Why not take STL tonight. I think they have a good shot here. Better than the rest of what you have left in my opinion.
You could also put 2k on Az +4.5 with a nice middle opportunity. I know the goal is the 96k but atleast this way you can almost guarantee something.

If your the guy on there that is listed first I went to central with a guy that shares your last name. He was from Greenfield.

GL bud! Hope you win it!

thanks for the responses madjackers.....

still thinking bout stlouis tonite.....????
i get the impression that some of you feel ariz. is a weak 10-3 team?

i can see if anyone else is taking them on the poll tonite and that may sway my decision.
just think i would regret going out playing against a 10-3 team.....last week i still had n.e. left...dont like playing road teams....but i said i have to take arguably the best team and best qb in the league off a loss....that way i would have no regrets if n.e. went down, atleast i went down with the best i could use.....and they did make me sweat for 3 qtrs.....haha.......thats my thinking with stlouis......if i take shot and go down think i be pissed that i went against a top team like ariz.

pgh pounder, that suks u went out with that game. brutal.

my is name under gunnar on the poll.

but i am from greenfield and went to central.....barely grad. in 1981.....wha yr. were you there?

still thinking......

I do like STL as they are playing very well and their D is good. AZ coming off the big win against KC. Can see let down here.. Also AZ O is stagnant...
Next option would be Atl...Pitt off big win..Atl playing better of late in must win situation @ home..

It's a small world Steel. I graduated in 99. Hung out with a lot of the guys that were from Greenfield. I was just curious if your the #1 guy on there because I knew the last name. Crazy that's not you but from greenfield and went to central. Lol!

Good luck whatever you decide tonight!
I'm rooting for you!!!!

pounder,
I'm sure i know all the guys you hung out with.
play softball and hoops with the younger guys for yrs.
are you still in pgh?

currently waiting to see if anyone takes stlouis tonite??.

if no one else uses them, then i will say fuk it and pull the trigger.

this is typically a line i would love to bet?..makes no sense to me??
for stlouis to be giving this many pts?..sure stanton is not carson palmer... but
this game should be at pick or 3 either way and i wouldn't have thought twice about it?.

now line up to 5.5/6

thinking vegas/oddsmakers are showing no respect to arizona so why should i

as a 6 pt. fav. teams win at a 70% clip straight up

get my stlouis win in tonite and root against all on sunday.

My vote would be to take Dallas. Dallas had an easy win last week and has a few extra days to prepare. Also, Philly is in a tough spot having played Seattle last week and teams do not usually do well the following week after playing Seattle (3-8-1 ATS). I know its hard to take a dog with a 7 point favorite (Giants) on the board but as you said Dallas is the best team on the board and I too have made bad selections when I focus too much on the lines versus the actual teams.

I agree with your assessment of tonights game. I too would side with vegas but as good as St. Louis is on defense, I wouldn't be shocked if Arizona won. I'd also be careful with Pitt. The line looks like they are begging for Pitt money and Atlanta looked better last week and Pitt is still inconsistant.

Good Luck with whoever you take.

Yep, still in pgh. Live out near Greentree now. I played softball over there when they had the league for a year or two. Played with Timmy Lynch. He was a pretty good ball player. Still see him every now and then. He plays darts with a good buddy of mine.
Some of the guys I went to central with were Hanley, Dinardo, Deasy, Downey, etc etc.
All good guys!
