At the start of the Kings/'lanche series I played one unit on the Kings at +180

Today I like the 'lanche at -195 (don't usually play that much chalk but have happily in the playoffs).

Should i let the Kings series play ride and root for them or back the game as I capped it?

Any help greatly appreciated; not sweating on this but would like to see a few thoughts

Anders - if the reason that you bet on Vancouver originally has not changed, why whould you change your bet now? If there has been some significant changes, then you might want to change.

Anders,

Take this for what it's worth, which may be nothing :). I have found that just capping each bet individually without paying any mind to pending futures is the way to go. In my own personal experience it just makes things too tough to worry about pending bets. It worked out well for me but I must admit I haven't been in your position of having a pending series bet and capping the opposite side to win the seventh game at higher odds. Good luck.

Obviously this reply is too late to help with a play on the game tonight.

But here's my thoughts:

If this was a parlay for a substantial amount I would consider a hedge to cover the initial wager.

As this is not a parlay you are left with deciding on a play that basically cancels out your original wager.
If this was not an elimination game I would advise against betting against yourself.
As this is an elimination game I would advise to play the best play that you come up with tonight. Basically you made a hunch wager at the beginning of the series. You now have more information and a much more solid idea of the outcome of the game/series.
You could look at it this way, say your series play on LA is now a week old hunch play on this game seven game. Seems a lot easier to switch sides, doesn't it. If you feel (felt) strongly that COL was the play tonight. I would cover my series wager and call it a draw.

My outlook is this; my job is to take money from the man, at very least I must deny the man the opportunity to take my money.
It isn't about pride. If you made a play that you think is going to lose, and you have the chance to recover, do it.

If the ship is sinking, get off the boat.
