Kicks off friday night with Collingwood v Carlton. These two teams hate each others guts and always lift regardless of their positions on the ladder. Carlton are last and look like collecting the wooden spoon for the first time in their hundred odd year history while the Magpies are cruising in third position and will finally get to play in the finals after years in the wilderness. Despite having just two wins this season, one of Carlton's was against Collingwood in round 2. Expect the Blues to lift for this one and cover the generous spread. Carlton +39.5 v Collingwood
On Saturday it's Fremantle hosting Hawthorn over in the west where Freo are a 4-5 goal better side. Freo's coach is Hawthorn's ex-assistant coach so will know the enemy quite well. Can't see Fremantle losing this so happy to give the goal and a half start. Fremantle - 8.5 v Hawthorn
On Sunday the Western Bulldogs take on the bad travelling West Coast Eagles. Eagles have only won one game away from home this season and that was by just 1 point to cellar dwellar Carlton. Hardly encouraging stuff!!! The Bulldogs played well last week and although their chances of finals action are slim
thefinger MrC) they will give it to the Weagles. Taking Western Bulldogs -15.5 v West Coast Eagles
My Pawamech system likes three teams this week and is travelling along OK at 19 - 11.
First up it likes the Cats to cover against my Roos. Geelong -12.5 v Kangaroos Then, it too likes Fremantle -8.5 v Hawthorn Now this next one freaked me out when I first saw it so I re-calculated the figures just to make sure!! St.Kilda +39.5 v Port Adelaide Now as crazy as that sounds....it really ain't that crazy. 7 of 9 teams have won the line when offered 39 or more points this season which equates to 77.77% (even more reason to like that earlier Carlton selection
)
Good luck fellas
