"...Quo fas et gloria ducunt..."
RECORD: 30-10 on moneylines

this week i like:

1) Richmond over the Kangs
richmond would like to stay ahead of carlton in the ladder and stay neck and neck with Hawthorne as they jocky for 4th and 5th place respectively.
The Kangs at this point seem to only be able to beat sub .500 teams.

2) Carlton over collingwood
carlton has incentive to stay ahead of the two teams chasing them in the ladder.
Carlton has the better home record SU.

3) taking Port adelaide over the Bulldogs
bulldogs, bad home team, P.A, rising up the ladder and are at their peak.

4) taking essendon over west coast.
let's be serious, i'm NOT taking this game lightly, but Essendon better get their asses in gear if they wanna stay atop the ladder.
that's their incentive.
west coast had their two game winning streak snapped last week...look for them to return to their losing ways...

5) taking LIONS over Geelong.
Lions also hot of late...11 games in a row....?? Even I have to admit that's quite impressive ...in ANY sport.
AGAIN, i DON'T see the LIONS giving up the first place chase until this season is over.

6) taking Melbourne over fremantle
fremantle playing out the stretch...melbourne trying to stretch their win streak to .........two.

7) taking sydney over St.Kilda
again, sydney would like to solidify their place in the top 8, so why not win against st.kilda at home?

good luck to all.

Been stuck at work all week and haven't even looked at the AFL until just now. At a glance here is who I will be backing:

Kangaroos +15.5 vs Richmond @ Sportodds
Adelaide -14.5 vs Hawthorn @ Camelot
Brisbane -20.5 vs Geelong @ Canbet
Fremantle +34.5 vs Melbourne @ Camelot
St Kilda +34.5 vs Sydney @ Camelot

Will hopefully get a chance to look at some of these matches in more detail over the weekend.

Interesting to note that the Top 8 sides are now decided. I do expect Carlton to grab 4th spot off Richmond next week (with Carlton vs Geelong & Essendon vs Richmond).

Essendon 68 137.86
Bris Lions 64 126.88
Port Adel 60 123.73
Richmond 56 106.83
Carlton 52 125.08
Hawthorn 52 105.64
Sydney 48 118.33
Adelaide 48 105.04

Essendon definately remain the side to beat but they have shown lately they are vulnerable. Brisbane, Port & Carlton (twice) have already beaten them this season.
