Standings are...
1 guy has 10points
6 guys have 7 points
1 guy has 4 points
1 guy has 2 points
1 guy has 1 point.

You are the guy with 4 points. Do you think you would get paid? What place are you in in this scenario? Of course you wouldn't get paid. 1st place would get 1st place money. And guys 2-7 would split the 2nd and 3rd place money. Or do you think since so many people were tied that they would change the rules to pay 8 people, when it called to pay 3 people only. You are not in 6th place. You see that now?
