Crazy nite..Won with Akron,lost with Fresno and Nev..pushed with Memphis..Pushed with ASU and Toledo and won with New Mex St,Appa St and Ga Tech...but 2 strong plays lost...

Rider -5 over Iona ****** strong play...Iona doesn't have the defense to stop Thompson.I know Iona broke there 17 game losing streak beating Rider 69-57.It won't happen tomr nite.After that loss they lost by 1 to Marist,beat manhattan,and canisius twice and lost to Loy md by 3.Thompson at 6'10 is tough inside and outside. Both rider gds are solid.Iona can't shoot,rebound or shoot 3's and FT's.love Rider here..they have an aircraft carrier in Thompson.

Canisius -2 over Peter. **** strong play..
Griffs have lost 8 in a row.They beat Peter 2 times by scores of 64-61 at Can and won away 68-47.In the 3 pt win harris the Griffs best player didn't play.Wilson,Herring and Harris are all capable of scoring 20 pts each.Turner the frosh gd is sensational...Peter has Orta , Sowell and Spann.Griffs are quicker,more athletic,shoot better,etc.Griffs beat marist by 10 at there place.There 8 in a row losses are 1 pt loss to Niagara,twice to Loy md by 3,etc.Peter has no rebounders...Griffs own the bds and should break there losing streak.Peter scoring is ranked 313th in the country,FG% almost as bad..Both teams can't shoot FT's...Canisius is one of those teams that if everyone played there "A" they could upset a good team in this tourney.I watched them manhandle Marist and it wasn't that Marist played bad.These guys have a lot of talent.Turner in a year or two will be the best gd in the MAAC.What a great passer...

Marist Red Foxes are the favorites..Everyone is after the Fox..but I like Siena to maybe sneak in. have to see the times and brackets and who plays who...

as 10-0..not a big over-under but maybe somebody could look more into that.
Iona plays a lot a freshman and there young and make mistakes.Riders Thompson should have a big game and dominate.
Rider..notes. Thompson was named MAAC Def Pl of the Yr.had 64 blocks,9.9 bds a game and avg 19 pts.Mouton and Hansell are solid gds.Mouton can stick the 3.Again Iona is loose and coming in with a 2-27 record they have nothing to fear.Iona ranks at the bottom of the 335 schools almost dead last in FT%,scoring,3 pt% and FG%.
Think they have a tough time going against the broncos today.One stat that you might be intrested ... In Iona's last 8 games they did play better defense and the under was 7-1.In the prior 10 games the over w
Canisius's Turner was named rookie of the year with Siena's Ubiles..I know I've said this a lot but he is a "true" pt gd..I know Perrota the coach graduated from my HS so there is some "heart" in liking the Griffs but how he landed this Atlantic city freshman is beyond me.
Again Harris,Herring and Wilson all avg in double d's.They did it last yr and this yr.Adding the 6'8 James inside and these guys can play.But they lose.They can't put anyone away..have let downs and let other teams back in the game.Think tonite they don't let that happen..

Hopefully I'll be back this afternoon for a quick post.I;m going away with 150 students to a peer leadership weekend.We target 150 kids at risk and do self esteem,team building skills,etc.we are up in the mountains and there are no phones,etc.

Manhattan -Siena..have no idea what the line is. I like Siena big..I'll take anything under -10...
Dubois has been benched.Play 6 minutes in last 2 games..He's leading scorer and rebounder. maybe he's got his act together but he's in the barry doghouse..Love Siena..highest scoring team in MAAC,fast breaking,etc..think they can win it all.

Niagara -winner of tonites Can-St Pete...if it the griffs and it better be ... be careful...neither teams plays good defense..but NU offense is explosive.Not sure if Brown is back for Purple...thats important..

Loy -Fairfied ..Loy the better team but Stags are at home,play tough defense..Love to see the line..
