After the snow storm...sat hoops..girls too

Over 15 inches of snow...my Texas daughter is stuck here. Jet blue cancelled everything.She can't leave till tues.My son couldn't leave for ECU..We were snowbound.. my wife and two other kids.walked into town at our favorite resturant..yest...we took two snow shovels on her 2 block walk..it was fun..nice have the "box" family back..Last nite sat down to watch Nova-UK...was summoned to the kitchen and told to turn off the TV...my youngest daughter went up to the attic...got the game "Clue"...Col Mustard did it,in the study...rope....We played teams and I was kicked off because I kept going into the living room for updates..
This morning I shoveled to free 6 cars in my driveway...then my buddy came over and plowed..thank god..took me 2 hours just to get the cars free...

I know some of you diehards will be angry with this but I have a few womans games I like. Esp one...It's a noon game...12.00 est

Iowa St -3 over Washington **** strong play
Took me an hour just to put the numbers in my system..then following it up....
ISU is the hotest team in the NCAA's. Won 8 in a row until OU beat them in B-12 final.Cylones beat Texas AM and Neb in the tourney.They can stick the 3 but most girls team do anyway. ISU has 5 players with that range..In Tex AM game they hit 10 from beyond.AM was B-12 co champs.Neb was ranked 25th..
Wash has one good player and a lot of depth.In there last 8 games on the road they are 1-7.They were 18-12 overall and 11-7 in the PAC.Iowa St is the better team with a 25-8 record...there not a great defensive team but they had OU on the ropes in the B-12 final..they are hot and playing together...also they are playing in Minneapolis today and ISU has 3 kids from Minny on the team.There taking 6 busloads to the twin city..so a small home court advantage...also Wash hasn't played in 2 weeks and had to travel from the left coast...
Like the Cyclones to win this by double digits...
I know some of you don't play the woman..and thats fine...but lyr I did pretty good with the gals....They actually run plays,shoot FT's,hit there 3's,play great defense,and do something that you never see...BOX OUT...OMG... Ga Tech is still playing if they did that.. and many other boy teams..I know it's different when your 6'9 and a greyhound but...look at Mason lyr and VCU the other nite.

AM is talented and was reg season co-champs..B-12...is ready to take there Iowa St loss on somebody..

DePaul +2.5 over Geo Tech *
Demons have 2 girls that have hit 50..3's each...they love the 3...going to ride them today..
All small plays...tonite will do Ohio St-Marist...yes.. my Lady Foxes..who is coached by a close and personel friend Brian G....in AAU i'm 4-0 vs him..and ironically beat him at marist college when we were both HS coaches...

Morris.. I was susposed to be in Saratoga yest Am giving a speech at the convention center. The NY State Ath Dir convention was there.Then I was off to Glen Falls staying at Lake George for the b-ball tourney.I had to cancel because of the snow..Did glenn Falls HS win...I know it was standing room only...and is it still snowing up there.My "boys" are upset I cancelled..and there all up there..today..
How did Indiana miss this storm?Thought thats were it came from?

Iowa St....7th in the nation in attendance, that
speaks well for them....Cyclones started out
slow but just went on a 14-0....I like how they
play....they crank up the 3's....I like this play....

this teams seems to be dangerous....if they

Well Iowa St sure looked bad for the 1st 10 minutes and then it was off to the races.Girls game again

Ohio St -18 over Marist **** strong play
Lets start this off with a Buckeye team that is very upset being seeded 4th and put out west.They are 3 time B-10 champs,won 34 of 35 B-10 games...lose to Purdue in B-10 tourney and are sent packing out west.Love the OSU coach saying after his team was dissed.." I guess we have to prove who we are". So who do they match them up with but MAAC champ Marist..This is the typical mid-major team playing major-major..Lady foxes are coached by Georgis who probaly is one of the best coaches in the nation.Let him coach Ohio St and instead of them being 28-3 there 31-0.But he's limited with his Foxes.They have small gds,5'4,5'7,5'10 and his fds and center s are 6'0 and 6'3.The gds are hustlers and get all the loose balls but there not athletic.Fitz and Dahman are scorers but will have a tough time tonite going vs the Bucks frontline.
Ohio st has one of the best players in the country in Davenpost. She's 6'5 and has been the Pl of the Yr in the B-10 the last 3 yrs.has 2,000 pts,1,000 bds and 300 blocked shots..They did lose a top scorer in Hoskins but they have enough scorers and size to cause big time matchup problems inside.
Lady Foxes dominated the MAAC even though they just beat Iona in OT for the title.Foxes are playing up in class..They have 5 losses and the only teams they played up were Duke and Maryland and they lost by 21 and 26.
Foxes will stay around because they are pesky and Giorgis can coach.. but stopping davenport inside and the Bucks outside shooting will be there demise..Plus this team is mad ...they feel they are not a 4 seed...and just might take it out on my Lady Foxes...

Can't see them staying with the Tar heels for 40 minutes..

UCLA -7.5 over Indiana **

Coach B..thanks..I know I asked you this before but how is the Jet Motel? Coach B knows this story... My VW in 1971 blew an engine in Coach B's hometown in Tenn going home to NY from North texas. I spent 3 days at the jet Motel...for $5.00 a nite...parents had to send me money to fix the car..Crossville,Tenn...never will forget that.
