We had a guest speaker from Denver speak at our church last night. My pastors older brother heads the New Life In Christ Church located at 2450 Clay (three block off Federal Blvd.). Fabulous sermon. I left speechless. Thought I'd post this just in case you and Happy Hippo might be interested or curious.

I don't know for sure, but I would assume Baptist (Independent). The sermon, which included graphics, was on the "The Promises of Jesus Christ / The Beatitudes." The sermon was very moving. Included brief description of the pastors conversion, the "how and why" of an inner city church in Denver, stories of Denver gang members who attend this church, etc. Compelling perspective on the beatitudes.....preached using the antonym to create a dynamic. Sure stirred my soul.

Furthermore, I am not interested in attending any church that supports war or flies a flag (not because I don't support my country, but because church and state should be separate), so that is the end of this discussion.
Now you can get back to your more important posts - what those are, I really am not sure.
