anybody able to suggest a particular airline or a particular website that would be worth checking to try and book a flight from cleveland to tampa this weekend for the ncaa tourney? not trying to drop a whole lot of money on the plane ticket- just tryin to get my a$$ down there.

anybody with suggestions, either on a particular airline to check, or a method to use to search for tickets, or a website to reference?

are those priceline-type sites garbage or worth checking?

thanks for any replies. trying to book a reasonable flight today (tuesday)

Not a whole lot of past experience using online travel sites, but I did use Priceline to purchase tickets (plane and hotel) to Jacksonville last year and I would estimate I saved around 30% in total. There is a site that Jim Rome advertises on his radio show but cant recall the name of it, but it's suppose to have outstanding deals.

last minute airfares are UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

only way you can get a ticket without it costing an arm and a leg at this point would be a weekend (cyber fare) deal that most airlines offer. with these, you must depart on Saturday and return on either Monday or Tuesday tho. (and guessing you want to get there before Saturday evening)

your best bet, if it is a local school for you playing in TPA, is to check with their athletic department for CHARTER flights.

delta has march madness hoops specials online right now. go to Delta.com and on the right is a link for "March Hoops"

Tickets were basically 200 bucks but only certain site cities.

I'm afraid your SOOL for this weekend- cheapest I see is mid 600's; Southwest I show all their discount fares Sold Out; AmWest has no service between those 2 cities.

If you're willing to pay the sheets, chose Continental- they have the most flights and they're non-stops.
