Al is sitting in a yuppie hairdressers in one of the episodes. He tries to make small talk with this guy waiting.
AL: How about those Bears!
Yuppie: Well, if people didn't feed them they wouldn't come around the campsites.
AL: Yeah, that's kinda how I feel about the White Sox.
Heck, I've even heard people who grew up on the South Side who were Cubs fans, because they found the White Sox boring.
THAT BEING SAID, I REALLY HATE TO DO THIS.
The Sox cleaned up the Red Sox in 4 games. Sure, the Bosox had lousy pitching this year, but they made the playoffs and were the Champs.
Then they beat the Angels flat out in 5 games? (Jeez, it seems like ages ago, now.)
They have home field advantage in the series and for this game, terrific pitching (four of their starters went the distance four games in a row), and so much more. Sheesh...
