I have sat back and waited to get feel on this on.I
can't help but remember in 2010 we beat the #1 team Alabama 35-21. Man the Gamecocks were on top of the world. The next week we blow a 18 pts. lead to Kentucky. On that Sunday Spurrier on his weekly talk show took all the blame. He said the Cocks wasn't ready for national spot light. He said that was his job to get them there. The steps have been slow. I have watched and talked to a lot of coaches and players through my son who's a high school coach here. This has been a mental week. I think the time has come. I also think LSU has more pressure than S.C. has on them. The truth is LSU is just not that good. Somewhere that have to produce some pts., got to live up to the past of Death Valley. Gamecocks got everything to gain, after all LSU is expected to win on Saturday night in Death Valley. Trust me Gamecock will come to play. South Carolina -2;) ;) ;)

Like both of the plays Al. I also agree with you on USC. I have watched this team very closely due to the fact I have close friends who went there and usually get the chance to go to a couple of games a year...love the tailgate. Anyway you are spot on how they have faltered in these spots before after big win or chance to get over the hurdle to be in same conversation as the Tigers, Bama, and Fla over the yrs.

I think the big difference is the old Ball Coach finally has a Qb he actually trust. Shaw has been consistent and his legs makes him a double threat. The defense is a beast and I think we all have seen that a defense of this caliber wins championships.
