I think it was a good hire. Shula is a Bama boy and has expirence. On top of that he can keep the "D" in place and with minor tweeks keep the "O" the same.

Shula will do well on the recruiting trail.

Good Hire.

this is not the same shula who coached the bengals, it's his brother.

i disagree with you that shula is a good hire because he does not have any head coaching experience. alabama is a prestigious football university with a great history, & i think that they should have hired someone who has a track record as a head coach. this is like notre dame hiring bob davie, who besides that he couldn't get a consistent winning record, he was unable to handle the presure from the alumni & the press. but we shall see.

I think right now Bama just wanted somebody that was not going to end up in the sack with a farm animal or on the internet with a beer in one hand and 5 hookers in the other! By the looks of things the Shula's will be taken in with open arms! I mean I am an Auburn alumni and fan and I even welcome somebody that makes me think a little harder when I want to tell a Bama Joke! :eek:
