First if you were one of the few that were able to bet Alcorn State -2.5 as soon as it opened you did very well. When you sit down and analyze this game your instinct is to give the edge to Alcorn State. So many of Alcorn State's stats are skewed due to the weakness of their schedule. The game vs Southern Miss is skewed because USM had the lead and played prevent and allowed 10 garbage time points to make it look closer. The Braves are led by QB Riggs a dual threat
Anyway- Alabama State has won 9 of the last 10 matchups between the 2 schools and comes into this game and the wins over Texas Southern and Tenn State look great. The Hornets have a running back Malcolm Cyrus who is an absolute game changer. The hornets have played a tougher schedule and are rolling.

So, What do I think will happen. I believe this will be a tight high scoring game. I believe Alcorn State's defense will be exposed. They just are not as good as they appear on paper. Malcolm Cyrus is a very strong back and I believe he will open the game up and make it easier for Bama State to throw the ball. Look for a wide open game but I look for Alabama State to cove the 7.5. The pendulum has swung too far with the line.

Alcorn St 31 and Alabama State 28

This game could get going if either team jumps out to a big lead. If that does happen then I believe we see the game in the 70's. If it stays tight throughout then I think we stay under.

If I was pushed I would parlay the dog and over for fun.
If you are looking for a straight wager then I like the dog +7.5 but just beer money. This game will go a long way in deciding the SWAC and its Playoff representative.

Miles played in the SIAC championship last year and expects to be back there this year. They have struggled on offense. They are very solid on defense and I expect Benedict will have trouble scoring. Benedict coming off a heart breaking loss and I expect Miles to be too tough and grind out the win. I think the spread is a little high but really could not recommend anything. I like the under but doubt I play it for anything more than Pizza money. I think we see a final of 27 to 17 or something like that. Miles will get back to winning and eventually challenge for SIAC championship. FWIW Miles has won 3 straight vs Benedict.

Yes, I was not completely ready for the lines as they put them up earlier than normal but I jumped on a couple... The other ones I have circled have not moved much. I have 2 unders and 2 overs that I have already bet. I am finalizing now... Listening to some press conferences and trying to figure out some injuries.

How is vegas? Do they have FCS lines up out there?

I think they will go undefeated in conference play. This team was for real in all facets of the game. Even on special teams they hit a 47 yard FG... They have some very good skill players. I like this team for a SWAC team.

Miles and Benedict almost hit the score dead on... LOL. Fun. 23-13 Final and it was an ugly ugly game. I enjoy watching small schools play ball but wow... this one was not pretty.

FWIW, I think the UND/Montana game goes under again. UND will put up between 6-10 points, barring a defensive TD. Montana should be in the 20-28 range. I see Montana running the ball a lot and playing field position knowing UND cannot score. Plus, I believe they are missing their best wide receiver, Henderson, and have a bye next week.

For some reason the total has gone from 43.5 to 47.5. Maybe somebody knows something I don't about Montana because nothing has changed on UND's side. Montana's D is the best UND will face all year.
