Alfie to make decision during tonight's warmup
Daniel Alfredsson is expected to give it a go tonight at Scotiabank Place.
Unless he has a change of heart after the pre-game warmup, Alfredsson will likely suit up against the Phoenix Coyotes.
If he doesn't play tonight, then likely tomorrow against the Boston Bruins. Alfredsson is recovering from knee surgery he had last Friday.
"He's close," coach Craig Hartsburg said this morning. "It's about him making sure he's comfortable and we'll decide after warmup."
Alfredsson said he's not sure and wanted to speak with the club's medical staff before making a decision.
"I've got to see if back-to-back games are the best course of action, but I feel pretty good," he said. "I didn't know what to expect but I thought I'd start playing Thursday or Friday this week and it has gone really well. It's a lot of fun for me and I'm going to try to get back in the game as quick as possible."
