I think the title should have been,"Exorcist Wanted".
Sorry MJers, but this one is more for story readers (Peepers?) and not so much for DOers (MJers). I think it's interesting enough for me to post though.
I dont' know how the hell I've been able to keep my head just a little below water considering the kind of luck I've been having with them hosses. My Hoss Wacin Angel is still on vacation and the substitute is my assigned Hoss Wacin DEVIL. I'm sure EVERY horse player goes through this stuff from time to time, but I've been getting WAY more than my share lately. Gotta get that bastage out of here....
I was pretty busy last week and just couldn't go over all the races for the last day Philly ran, Sunday. "Go over" means hours, not minutes. I managed to figure out the first two races, actually did a QUICK going over (15 mins.) with the 2nd race. The first race came out to be my standard zacta deal, "a,b top/bot c,d" thingy. I really liked my chances for that race. I even posted my first race picks in my (only) other forum since I liked that race so much. Didn't bother to post the 2nd race picks. BTW, I think it doesn't matter which forum I pick cause both are OVERloaded with Peepers and not Doers LOL.
Now, GET THIS .... . . .
- In the second race, I came up with exactly 3 hosses that I liked a lot. AND equally liked a lot. IMO, boxing picks ain't a good idea and I rarely take that route. BUT, in situations like this - boxing was my only alternative since I could not pick any one of the three to be the winnah. So, in my trusty notebook I CIRCLED, "BOX 2,4,7", thinking zactas of course. After I posted that first race, I go to put in the bets.
- Then that FLUCKIN Devil visits me and sez, "How bout trying daily doubles, for a change?". That kinda made sense cause I luved 4 horses in the first race and 3 in the second and I couldn't separate those three anyways. Now, how often do I play Daily Doubles? How bout, like NEVER cause it's a bet that doesn't payoff like it should IMO. Check EVERY one of the hundreds (almost hundreds?) of plays I've posted and you won't find ONE stinkin D.D. bet. Grrr.
- Thinking that I liked each of the three in that second race too. But I didn't go though ALL of the numbers figuring for that race that I usually have to do. So, I went the daily double route for my actual bets.
Well - SURPRISE, SURPRISE. The first race winnah was NOT one of my picks, so I lose the doubles. Oh, and the second race? SOMB!

Only consolation was that there exacta payoff was a little skimpy.
Maybe now that I wrote this down someplace, I can just forget about it. I know, I know It's all part of the fun of the gambling game. But, ain't that something?
I could write about all the good stuff that's been happening with thems college footballer, but it's not that interesting. I'll spare yas that read.
I'll try to post for Friday's Philly card IF THEY RACE, as scheduled. I wish I woulda posted last week's Philly picks NOT so much for the hosses, but maybe I coulda added my college footsball pick of the week. FIVE weeks in a row it won and last week was bestest of all - Mississippi (6+ point dog) MONEY LINE wiener. BTW, I did post that, but not here. I should add that Miss was tied for Bestest Bet with Ohio who was a losing favorite. NO Footsball Devils here though cause I took the longshot route. I might not have the SpreadSheet ratings by Friday, but I will by SAT. Just doesn't make sense to go through the footsbawl room to make one "stinkin" pick.
How bout them BB Giants?
