Working just 3 blocks from the stadium, I couldn't help but sneak down and check out some of the pre-derby excitment today.

It was really packed and the mood was really electric. Took some pictures of McCovey's Cove, it was a circus atmosphere. Even though the actual derby didn't quite live up to the hype.

Also got some, almost, up close pictures of the players waiting beyond the center field fence, before they were introduced.

And thanks again for the suggestions of restaurants when my wife and I were out there at christmas. The Italian place in North Beach was great, got my sister-in-law to travel in from Castro Valley to have dinner there and they enjoyed it, too.
