Tired of the idol worship going on w Tebow. Yeah, yeah, he's a great guy. Christian. Pro-life. Yada, yada, yada. Seems like Tebow has more fans because of what he isnt, rather than what he is. He isnt a criminal, he isnt black, he isnt an alcoholic, drug addict, wife-beater, etc. Way too many of those guys in the nfl. Personally, I believe all the major sports are filled w good guys, but as fans we hear alot more about the bad seeds. Media feeds on drama. Not much drama in Tebow's off field life.
From all accounts Donovan McNabb is a great guy too. No brushes w the law. He has experience & knows defenses. But, he has lost the ability to make throws so he no longer has a starting job. Simple as that. Tebow cant make the throws right now, so doesnt deserve a starting qb spot any more than the pope.

The NFL used to give a QB a little time to develop before they cut bait....
I remember a QB named Troy Aikman...
went 1-15 his first season - 6-10 his second... 8-8 his third...
after that (and a nice Herschel Walker trade) they Cowboys were free to be great and avoid drug tests.
Point being - it is too early to judge the guy...
This is a different era though - the salary cap changed the landscape - but still - I think it is too early...
