All i have been betting this past week are favorites i mean -14 and up. today i had the cubs -175...can a freakin favorite win a game?

Start betting on underdogs and you will see just how fast fav's start winning. We've all been there, obviously.

Baseball is even tougher for me, b/c I don't play it every day. Its more about something to do here and there, so its hard to casually look for value in huge dogs, etc.....

It seems to go in streaks, lots of favs, then lots of dogs, I just always am on the wrong side of the wave. This is a tough gig, I am close to putting in my notice and moving on.

thats why i play a system.... a chase system...

u could consider starting for small amt ($20 each).. u get about 12-15 plays per wk... maybe $300 per wk...

course... maybe ur better off spending time elsewhere?

That is good advice, a system would allow me to not have to spend hours capping games, but it is hard for me to not "control" a situation if you know what I mean. I will look into your thread, thanks.

Can't lay $175 on a team with no closer. 1st option is on the DL. 2nd best closer option (Marmol) completely sucks right now. 3rd option (Howry) also completely sucks right now. The rest of the pen is very suspect. Samardzija and Marshall are recent arrivals from the minors and Gaudin is a newer arrival from Oak. That leaves you with Eyre, Cotts, and Hart. All serviceable for a few outs but nothing to lay heavy chalk on.
