I have seen both teams play this year and the the thing that strikes me about GT is their defense. They have kept everybody they have played to under 40% from the floor and that is the recipe to cook up victories. I also like the fact that they were able to hold their own on the glass vs. Okafor and company.
The bucks on the other hand have experienced several defensive breakdowns against mediocre competition ,(did you see what ST. Joe's did to SF last night?) and it is apparent to me that all of the new faces are not yet a cohesive unit on the floor particularly on the defensive end side of the ball.
If the Buckeyes are to hang with the Jackets, they will need shoot it well very and hit their 3s. It would also be a big boost to the buckeyes to knock down their free throws which has been another glaring deficiency of this team. ( gotta be under 60%)
In my opening post I was just trying to open some eyes to the fact that 3' is a very soft opening line for a team that has absolutely steamrolled everybody that they have played. The line has and probably will continue to move up. I maintain that the Jackets are a great value at 3' and played them at that number. If you really think that the bucks will rise to the occasion
you should get 5 -5' by tipoff.
I guess that I'm just a square LOL
PS. I need an editor, applications being accepted
