I think the Neb AD should already put in his resignation.......hiring Bill Callahan for this position was a laugh to me. I dont know what they were thinking.

He doesn't have the players to run his system. Give him a few years to recruit & he can take Nebraska back to the promise land.

Nebraska's biggest problem imo was they couldn't land the skill players anymore in the QB or WR position. We are in a new era of college football where passing attacks are a big part of the game & Nebraska didn't go with the times.

Since they didn't go with the times, they had no shot at getting the big names to come to Nebraska. Now with Callahan at the helm & the philosophy being much different, watch him start getting the big names to come to Nebraska as they have the name recognition & now the philosophy to match it.

And dont refer to the Raiders team which Gruden built and destroyed him in the SB..............

I agree its only his second game but I just dont see any track record of him being able to get the job done............

They are going to look bad at times this year for sure. Have a really soft schedule the first half of the year, and then the shit' will hit the fan. If they are to have any chance of doing damage this year, they need to win against the mediocre teams early.

Nebraska man myself and was surprised to see them blown out by so much in the second half. The 'D' as we all know is usually pretty decent but it all fell apart tonight obviously. No doubt it will take some time for the offense to get going and Dailey at QB will certainly not cut it. As Hockey said, give em' a couple of years and they should be back to hopefully playing some good football.

Personally I thought the huskers should of hired Bo Pellini last year but I think Callahan will eventually turn Nebraska into a top 10 team year in and year out. The QB situation at Nebraska is a mess as Joe Dayley is not a fit for a passing offense and never will be but Callahan has Harrison Beck coming next year out of Florida and this kid currently plays in a West Coast system. Don't forget that Callahan is regarded as one of the top five recruiters of the past 25 years when he was Barry Alverezs main man in Wisconsin and he has allready assembled for this coming year the best recruting class that Nebraska has had in the last decade.
