In fact, it?s rather ironic that a nation that meted out extreme violence against Native Americans can somehow view Native Americans as the wild ones. Nevertheless, the qualities of being wild, primal and uncivilized are stereotyped perceptions of Native Americans that still permeate mainstream American culture, which the team?s owners have bought into. Instead, of helping to rid the culture of the stereotype, the football franchise is simply reinforcing it. These stereotypes are also damaging to White Americans because they foster a sense of superiority by denigrating an entire group of People of Color.

cringes when I hear the Washington "RED"skins? In this day and age, that's still accepted?
Can you imagine a gamebreak highlighting the "blackskins" or the "whiteskins?" So what, just give them reservations with casinos and alcohol and let them be?

Don't let it bother you, it's just a message forum :toast:
I haven't seen a single post of any degredation towards Indians. I for one am sick of the preferential treatment they get in my state. Get a car tag, no tax, own a business, no tax, and on and on. It's gotten so bad that they have now sued a company for trying to put wind farms on private land because they say that it will take away income they would be able to get from mineral rights that they own. Anyone else wouldn't even attempt with such a feeble defense. Believe me, Indians have it made around here.
rusty, is that you?
Bigboto,
That's a farce. The Natives claimed violence only after they realized what shitty traders they were.
A pack of smokes and a bottle of whiskey for Montana? C'mon man.
