Sun, saw your post on going with a$m. IMO, the play is Texas or nothing. The ags have no defense and Texas will score at will on the pourous aggy D. Whether McNeal plays or not, aggy is going to have a very difficult time scoring on the Horns D.
Actually I hope McNeal plays his last college football game so we can see him crying for his mommy one more time like he did last year against the ferocious Texas D.

I am also hearing that Mr Franchione will be looking for new employment soon after Friday's game.
Sun please don't tease me like that. I think we are stuck with Fran for at least one mroe year. Where are you hearing both of these things? Sources inside the program?

I am hearing 75% chance Fran is gone.
McNeal is getting another doctor opinion today but doesnt look like he can go or should go. I originally heard he had a broken foot, but if so it would seem he would clearly be out.
Always a chance it is bad info but seems pretty credible right now. Fran's buyout is a big pill but he has rubbed the wrong people wrong and has completely lost the team. I personally was surprised to hear this. he deserves to get canned and never should ahve been hired, but I didnt think he would get the heave this soon. The Texas success and constant recruiting domination cannot help either. I think Aggie fans have to be very concerned about when they will get back on top.

Lots of crazy rumors out there right now.
One is that Franchions will take over at Kansas State. Remember he is from up there and coached at Pittsburg State.

Be a shame if Fran goes. He is a class act, has had injuries and essentially no benefits from his underclassmen recruits . For both his sake and A&M, hope you are wrong.
Fran is not a class act. First is the way he has treated teams he has left. Second, pretty well known the school is back to using the Jackie Sherrill recruiting plan. Third, the nation is seeing what many already knew - he isnt much of a coach.
Talked to someone else tonight who says Fran survives unless they get blown out Friday. Not sure how "blow out" is defined when you are a 4 TD dog. Anyway, he says all the assistants will get canned and he has to win 8-9 next year including a big one - Tech/OU/Texas.
Here in Kansas we have heard nothing of Franchione going to KSU. Lots of candidates, he's not one. On another game, KU expecting a sellout for I-St, wouldn't be surprised a 5-0 at home Kansas covers the +3 and gets bowl eligible. GL Toto
They wont can Fran. He makes to much for them to give up this quickly on him. A&M is not a poor school by any means,but at the same time they are not Texas. KSU can't afford him unless he is willing to take much less than what he gets at A&M.

A reporter for the Maroon Report said on KVET radio Wednesday that he was 100% sure we'd see McGee playing Friday. McNeal's status is questionable - he may or may not play and for how long, who knows. It's his decision at game time. Not real definitive, but the writing is on the wall. In any case - GO HORNS!
