Tons of commercials for online sports betting and online casinos.

Our good ole USA government boys are focused in the wrong areas.

Legalize weed and gambling and the country is out of debt.:00hour

gambling isnt an issue in the UK. or most of the modern world. half of the teams in the Premier League are sponsored by major bookmakers. bet365, bwin, Stan James, William Hill, Paddy Power..... they are huge.

in the UK youd be hard pressed to find an area where you arent 5 mins from a bookies. unless youre out in the sticks. and their online sites blow any offshore site completely out of the water. so many offers and payouts/deposits are a BREEZE.

one of the best parts of going to the UK during football season :00hour

There were way more 15 years ago, but still quite a few in UK.

Note...in almost every province in Canada you can't walk for more then 10 minutes in any city and not find a store, gas station, etc, where you can not bet on sports.

yes.

there are shops everywhere. William Hill, Ladbrokes, Betfred, Coral, PaddyPower, they are all over the place. and there are even more online. bet365 and bwin are HUGE online bookies. bwin is and has sponsored some of the biggest football clubs in the world.

Real Madrid is the richest sports team in the entire world. Worth a full billion more than the highest US sports team in the Yankees. and bwin is the sponsor plastered on the front of their jersey.

Betting is HUGE over there. and there is nobody crying and moaning about it ruining the integrity of the game either. they get on just fine considering "soccer" is the most popular sport in the world.

Yes they are everywhere, but there were way more 15 years ago.

Also I use all the ones ya listed above except Coral and PaddyPower.

When in UK you can walk into a shop give your account number and ID and get your cash (if you bet on website).

Same as in Canada, walk into a store and get your money, no tax, no hassles, no nothing. I can take a nice walk outside, bet on sports and also cash my winnings. I just cashed a ticket for 220 dollars yesterday. Same thing in UK, except in UK you can bet way way way more.

By the way Bet365 sponsors the Canadian Football League. Ads all over the field and on the jerseys of players. So UK books don't just sponsor teams in Europe.

Many teams in Australia also sponsored by UK (and Aussy) Sportsbooks as well.

And then there are the commercials.....see these all the time in Canada if you are watching sports on TV....

This is from 1995.....

I dont know how many were there 15 years ago but there are still a ton all over the place now. In most place, a few minute walk or few minute bus ride will have you at a bookies.

The only downside to betting at the shops is they dont offer everything available on the websites.

Also, on TV late night in the UK they have what you now see at offshore books known as "live casinos". There are 2-3 channels that have a live roulette wheel all night that you can interactively bet on online and watch on your TV.

I know bet365 is heavy in advertising all over the world but the EPL is a billion times bigger than the Canadian Football League and it just shows their legitimacy and power. and it also shows the biggest leagues in the world arent afraid of the bullshit the NFL, NBA, MLB cry about every time a new state tries to allow sports betting.

Kick, is it still parlays only or can you bet on individual games now in Canada. I don't mean on-line, I mean at a live shop?

Most provinces = two games.

That will change in next two years, will be just like a Sportsbook in Nevada.

I had heard a couple years ago that there was a push to change it. I'm not sure I understand the current rule anyway.

Would be pretty cool to walk into a convenience store and get a tank of gas, lunch and a ticket on the Steelers (to lose of course).

Even cooler is when you get that betting slip and get Air Miles (or other points programs) on that purchase.

In fact there are some gas stations in Canada that will give you 5 percent off your gas if you purchase a betting slip.

Yep, that is true.....

It was at least tolerable here when we could fund offshore books with Neteller. I loved Pinnacle, -104 NFL, moneylines on literally everything, generous odds across the board.

Thank you 2006 GOP Congress for that completely pointless final act of freedom-hating spite.
