Operating a mega church, especially those on worldwide television, is an expensive venture.
Having your congregation numbers and donations increase on a regular basis is easier when you continually preach the softer side of Christianity....God's grace, God's love and God's mercy. Three points and a poem and everyone exits feeling all warm and fuzzy. These topics are real and certainly valid.
But the entire message of Christianity is bittersweet.
Tv evangelists are well aware that preaching repentance, the nature and consequences of sin and what we need to do to honor God will make the congregation numbers and donations dwindle.
Not all pastors preach in the same vein.
No one likes the truthteller.
And most pastors, on a regular basis, visit and try to console someone who's at deaths very door. In truth, it's a sad ministry. But they have a sense of purpose and know where to find the strength.
Fascinating that you have liberals criticizing "non-reality" faith-based perspectives, when all you ever hear from the left are unrealistic, ACLU approved, emotional responses to all of our real world problems. Tragic, those liberals have been brainwashed to think people of faith in this country are the enemy. Maybe they start to wake up when the next building falls, but I doubt it.

What about the faculty though? I agree that college students will generally reflect the politics of the nation as a whole (perhaps a bit liberal, since young people generally are), but I get the feeling tenured proffesors on college campuses lean solidly liberal.
Which is actually good, if it encourges open minds and debate. But, not if it becomes an agenda/machine to 'guide' 'kids' into a specific belief system.
You're right to oppose the neocons, but you're wrong to call them Nazis. Communists is much closer to the truth. The neo-cons are Jews. Not all of them, but the leaders. They are the brothers, the blood relatives, of the men who founded the Soviet Union, the bloodthirstiest mafia in history.
The Christian right is just a bunch of stupes and dupes led by preachers and pastors who have been bought off by the neocon foundations. Falwell, Robertson and his buddies have all been coopted by the Israelis. Even the Bible they use in their seminaries is corrupted to support the neocon agenda.

Modern liberalism was sanctioned by the Warren court of the 60?s. America was suddenly to blame for the world?s ills, God was not welcome in the classroom and the criminals became the victims. Today?s liberals have any number of views that grew out of that court?s NON-constitutionally based opinions.
Mr. Conservative himself from that era, Barry Goldwater, stated in his late years that modern Republicans lost their way when they got hijacked by the religious right. He even went so far to say that more *true* conservatives were in the Democratic party.
The Democrats Goldwater spoke of were those of Roosevelt and JFK concerning foreign policy. That is not the Democratic party of today, they are made up of so many left-wing factions that they end up standing for nothing, fearing to offend some other part of their base.

so true--and let me add one movement in particular--which was diff between almost 2 identicle wars NK and Viet Nam--
In NK war the population in general would have looked down on anti military remarks--deserters and those fleeing north to avoid war would have been shunned and even the most fearful served rather than face humiliation
--but enter the 60's You have movement where the Haskels all form their little groups and rather than face humiliation--they try to give fear/cowardice legitamacy under pretense of "a movement" and get together in their little bands to console and rah rah each other for their lack of courage.

i read that article that you linked & it seems that most of them are not jews....all i saw were paul wolfowitz, richard perle, & somebody named cohen.....i saw william kristol (founder), rumsfeld, cheney who are non-jews...so can you show us where "the neo-cons are jews."
