anyway....melinda sings last...a james bond song diamonds are forever. Haley is first and the backstreet boy is 2nd. Going first always blows. haley could be in trouble but apparently did great in rehersal.

Blake goes 3rd or 4th. blake butchered his rehersal and could be in trouble of bottom 3, but i can't imagine him going home. hell, i think he could win this thing. he starts off with a beatbox and does "time of the season."

that's all i know for now. my friend didn't know anything and this is all coming from a guy at another forum who has been right about everything up to date, so i trust him for whatever that's worth.

still don't think its sanjays time yet. coming sooner than later, but not yet. wish i could find a not to be eliminated line on him, but can't.

I think your two going home wagers are solid, it could be time for either of those two to go. I have been listening to Howard Stern in the AM some mornings, and they are trying to motivate listeners, and get others to vote for Sanjaya each week as a joke. People who don't care nor watch the show are calling on his behalf (you may have mentioned this previously, can't remember). That could account for quite a few votes, and in the early finalist stages could make a difference.

Haley going first could be a tough spot, I agree, she is both ripe...and ripe to go home. I think the Backstreet Boy (as you call him) is underrated, and could end up being one of the last remaining finalists, much like Elliot last season. He is pretty good, and has that Timberlake look which will serve him well with the young gals. I do think he is kind of narrow in ability and appeal, though.

Not sure what this category will be all about tonight, but seems more wide open, which should help the fringe talent.

Bottom line, if Sanjaya lasts much longer, the appeal of Idol in general is going to be hurt, I think. The guy is SO much worse than anyone (and has been since week one) on the show...it's ridiculous. With two young good looking guys already, Sanjaya just can't be drawing all the young girl votes.

I dunno. I'm hopeful that Sligh pulls off a good performance. I like that guy. And I hope Haley wears something revealing before she leaves...

Chadman, agree with most of what you said. I don't like Sanjay, just find him amusing because he IS that bad. And I think he stays becuase as i alluded to earlier and as you restated he is getting votes from all sorts of sources. and its all about making money in the form of markets and wagers. I have no sanjay love for him, but rather his ability to stay on a show where he might possibly be the worst contestant ever. AJ from season 1 if anyone remembers back that far was just as bad and "feminine" and he went home like 5th i believe.

Chris R is the backstreet boy, and I don't like his style of music and he's very nasally sounding to me, but he is better than at least half of whats left. He won't sniff the finals though.

Chris Sligh - She's not there
Melinda - As long as he needs me

Off the top of my head, Gina and Sanjay are singing the songs that most people under 40 know. I don't recognize most of the rest, but I'm sure that once they start i'll at least have heard some of them.

Another rumor going around and not sure about the validity is that Lakisha is going to be wearing 1 million dollars worth of loaned jewelry for tonight. Still won't be enough to cover her though.

Sanjay also supposedly wears a punk hair do tonight. This guy really is funny. I can't imagine all the "vote for me because I'm the worst" votes tonight for him. He won't be in much danger unless he actually does sing well.
