Sorry --they had one really good album - even if you want to call it great that doesnt make for the greatest band of all time. Does anyone not think this 15 years in the making album by essentiially just Axl is dogshit?

I'm a big Hair Band/Grudge fan and do like GnR a lot. But I'll take a little Crue and AC/DC over Roses anyday. Just my opinion of course. As far as AI, I kinda liked the Jessie girl that did not make the cut. Really liked her unique version of Bette Davis Eyes.

Yes! They're concerned with ratings, not fairness.

Aside from Paula Abdul, the producers of ?American Idol? have one more loudmouth to deal with on the set.


One of the hit show?s staffers is running around telling anyone who?ll listen that the team of producers and judges has already picked the final four contestants ? despite the fact that 11 kids are still battling to be the latest pop star.

The female ?AI? worker told a ?group of people that the last four are going to be Danny Gokey, Lil Rounds, Adam Lambert and Alexis Grace,? said our insider. Asked if this was opinion or actual fact, the staffer vehemently retorted, ?Those ARE the people,? saying it wasn?t mere speculation.

If it was just her prediction, she?d be spot-on with this week?s TV Guide, which also chose those exact four wanna-be crooners as its picks for stardom.

But the lass took it a step further, claiming that higher-ups at the hit Fox show were taking an issue with two of the top contenders.

?Adam Lambert and Lil Rounds are better singers and musicians than Gokey and Grace, but they?re too much like past winners and ?A? successes,? the woman said. ?Adam?s too close in style and sound to Chris Daughtry, while Lil Rounds is a dead ringer for Fantasia. Even their background stories are similar!

?The producers really want it to be Danny or Alexis. They think they?re very commercially viable, have a good image and a great story.?

Gokey?s sorrowful story of the death of his wife, Sophia, during heart surgery a month before his audition is ?a huge reason viewers are tuning in,? said the staffer. ?Fox likes the attention that he?s getting, and they?ve taken to giving Danny much more airtime as a result.?

While Fox?s reps had no comment on the allegations, another TV insider told us, ?It?d
be very hard to manipulate the entire final four. Sure, the judges get one vote to save someone, but that?s before the top five, so theoretically, it?s just delaying the inevitable.

wasn't the 64k question rigged.....wasn't that the number one show at the time.

is it rigged....maybe, we'll only find out if it was. i think it's without a doubt manipulated, but rigged might be a little harsh.

i also highly doubt no matter how much they shove them down our face now that they want adam or danny to win. what kind of album would they make that anyone would buy?

be careful of early favorites.....they never pan out....see melinda...see david archuleta....see tamyra.....

allison, alexis, or lil wins.....year of the female....don't be swayed by early returns or judges pimps as to this point.

Is it likely a woman wins? Hisotry would say so - but they arent as good as Adam, Kris or even Dead Wife Guy. Or frankly even all that close. Lil was brutal - if you have heard the original version you would realize just how inferior she is. She wasnt good last week either - but candidly as the only black contestant left she will stay for quite awhile regardless. Allison was ok but not anywhere near as good as the judges said - and I just cant get past the horrible hair. Allison is the only girl I could remotely see winning - but havent we already had an overweight teenager win?

Adam is so far over the top and I have a tough time with the tonsil hockey - but he sings far better than the rest of them and certainly is the most original. When he has an off week it will be very ugly - of course I thought that last year with Cook and he never really had a bad week.

To Dan's original point - nobody is going to buy records of any of these folks.

Guessing Michael. Would be Scott as that was painful but he will keep getting sympathy votes for awhile. Megan was horrible - but of course they want to tell us she was good and tell us she was sick til they are blue in the face.

I liked Adams song. And I like country music but I liked what he did with it and I think the kid can sing. Something about this group just doesn't impress me.

The problem with all the guys is they are all white. AI is going to have to start to eliminate them. Just like Anoop and Jorge were paired up for elimination, one too many ethnics.

America can't distinguish between 5 white guys so there won't be any name recognition like Lil and Allison and Anoop have. Adam maybe but he loves nuts on his chin so that could end him.

I say Michael is gone due to the 'too many white guys factor'.

There all so much alike that they seem boring. But one Adam he's got a little Elvis look to him. And the woman off all ages will vote for him just for that reason. And with woman being 60% of the vote each week. Thats a big stick.
Danny is a close second. The red haired teenager 3rd. The rest can pack it in.

This season tilts me to no end.

The whole format is absolutely brutal. I don't mind the judges save, but the format itself is ridiculous.

I'm completely biased to Allison and will bet anyone any amount of money she will be the most successful out of this whole bunch minus the winners first album which always sells for some odd reason, although I'm resigned to the fact that she probably won't win.

Here you have a talented girl who killed her only song that she wanted to sing. She easily won her group. She got zero airtime in hollywood week and a one minute audtion. Then they make her sing the worst most outdated artist ever in Michael Jackson, and then country. Two artists or types she never in a million years would sing. She's going to be more of a Miley Cyrus, wanna be pink type singer. She has the pipes and look at how much better looking she's gotten once the AI stylists keep working on her. She's got miles to go, but has already gone quite a few. In seasons past, she had 3 weeks to sing what she wanted before the top 12 (at least huge genres, 70's 80's or 90's). The show today is just so limited with these stupid themes. I doubt she's going home tonight, she is probably the contestant who gets the most text votes, so she's fine for now, but needs to get out of these dated stupid themes.

As for tonight, I don't put faith in dial idol just yet. I would be shocked if a girl went home. The tour takes top 10 only and I doubt they want a sausage fest tour. I have to think Scott and Mike are in the most trouble. Fck it, get ride of them both, throw in Megan and start the competition.

Also agree with Sun. I don't despise country music, but it isn't my cup of tea. That Martina Mc Bride song is pretty cool and she nails it in the original. Lil was a copycat version who couldn't reach 90 percent of the vocals or notes. It was a joke.
