Fellas, (And VA Nurse)

I am writing this to let you know that one of your fellow MadJack Members has achieved a life-long dream. Since 2001, I have wanted to be a writer.
I wrote a screenplay and moved to L.A. and I got a job working for a movie producer. I was introduced to Quentin Tarantino, William Goldman, James Cameron and I got an agent and was pitching my screenplay around town.

When it looked like I might marry my girlfriend who was back in Kentucky, I decided to move back home and get things started with that chapter of my life. When I left L.A., my agent said ?I can?t represent a screenwriter who doesn?t live in L.A., but if you turn this screenplay into a novel and get it published, then I can represent you.? So I began writing my first novel.
Long story short ? not one publisher would touch my manuscript. I have 216 rejection letters in my desk.

I decided to write a second novel and after another round of rejection letters, I got a publisher. (I got 2 positive responses from two different publishers and I got to choose the better deal.)
The book is now on Amazon.com and will be on all eBook platforms next month. It will be in bookstores in the fall and the audio book will be out by Christmas.

Never give up.

If you have time, check out my website. Nickallenbrown.com

Thanks,
Nick Allen Brown

The quick and dirty version of the book -

This story takes place in 1939 on a farm in Kentucky. The narrator is an old man recalling what happened on his farm way back in '39.

This is a mystery and I think it has a really good ending.

If anyone buys it and comes to the golf outing, I will sign it, thereby reducing the value to about fifty cents.

well done buddy and congrats on getting the journey completed ... wishing success on this one and many after!!!

now he needs some of you to buy his book and then go on Amazon and write up a great positive review!

Being in the publishing business 20 years, REVIEWS will help drive demand and with the demise of the book store industry leaves AMAZON as the king and this filters down to the next evolution of downloads to portable devices ... so reviews are key!!!

help our brother out here with buying a copy and giving him a glowing review :0074
