Have not posted for a while, but spotted a couple I like today...
1. White Sox -1.5 [+115] at Tampa [2 units]
Sox have won 4 of 5, and are chasing the Indians for the wild card...Garland has pitched well - since All-Star break has a 2.59 era...pitched a 6-1 win vs. KC last start, but gave up 4 runs to Drays in last start vs. the D-rays in a 4-6 loss...
T.B.'s Rekar is 1-11 this year with a 5.72 era...is 0-2 vs. CWS with a 9.60 era...lean to the UNDER 9.5 here as TB playing some call ups, and some of CWS's offense is injured...may play CWS [-132] also for 2 units...better team, better pitcher, penant race...all favor a victory for Chicago
2. Pirates +150 vs. Houston [2 units]
Williams is 1-5 but has a 4.38 era, and gave up only 2 hits in 6 innings vs. Zona last start...Pirates are 1-5 vs. Houston last 6, but are 6-3 vs. Stros a ANC Stadium ... Williams first start vs. Astros...
Villone is a relief pitcher forced to start due to injury to Astacio...he is 4-2 with 5.64 era in 20 appearances since arriving at Houston from Colorado...is 1-2 vs. the Pirates with a 5.14 era, probably relief appearances...
A +1.50 dog which has a 6-3 record at home, and on the year is 8-8 vs. Houston...seems too good to be true, but I am jumping on this one...
