Boise should be eliminated for obvious reasons. If you need one, how about letting UNLV be within 20 points of your team?

TCU will be closer as well.

But seriously, Boise St was looking past UNLV and still beat them by 26. I know they should still put teams away by 30 plus. But even LSU had a game this year where they didn't put a lot of points up. They only beat a bad Miss St team 19-6 and a bad Kentucky team by 28.

Anyway, not trying to ruffle any feathers. Just think Boise St should always be considered in these conversations. They do rise up to the challenges against better teams.

No having said all that.. They do look beatable this year. I don't know if they are just going through the motions until TCU comes to town next week or what it is. But TCU cannot have 5 turnovers like they did this week if they expect to beat Boise. I hope it's a point spread of at least 11 pts. Kellen Moore has never thrown a TD against TCU. We'll see if that stat continues next week.

And as of right now, I think Ok St and LSU should play for the BCS Championship.

Boise manages to practice and plan all off-season to focus on one team (last year VT this year Georgia).

They win that game against a mid to high level team (not elite team) and then coast through the rest of the year.

The question is, after they beat Georgia, how would they do versus Florida, S Carolina, Auburn back-to-back rather than playing UNLV, Colo State and N Mexico?

I won't even throw in the elite teams in that equation. I don't think they are a top ten team and they are much less talented than last year.

I'll play that game. If you are giving them an SEC schedule, then you have to give them SEC players. Now that we've established that base, they may or not go undefeated in the SEC. But, going undefeated in the SEC isn't a requirement like it is in other conferences. So, give Boise St SEC athletes and they would still compete for a championship.

so tired of hearing they wouldnt be undefeated in the SEC...

how the fuck do you know that...

how does anyone know that....

they may win everygame by 20

they may lose every game by 50

who the fuck knows....

all i know is if you ask oklahoma, vt, georgia, all the same question of, CAN BOISE PLAY?

they would all give you the same response....

they are veteran loaded this year, and i dont care how many people bash me for this statement, but i would take peterson/moore plus the points vs anyteam this year. ANY TEAM even LSU.

i am not talking moneyline, but i would take boise +10 vs. the tigers in the championship game without a doubt...

sorry, not tryin to sound like a dick, but so tired of hearing the same thing eveyrr thread about boise...

who knows how they would do in the SEC...

give them a much biiggerr recruiting base, and anything is possible...

anyways, this years championship is going to be

STANFORD VSS LSU

good game IMO if it happens

now, i also dont think they would go undefeated everyyear, but neither do 99% of the sec teams everyyear.

and since when does

"how would a team do in the SEC"

figure into deciding who plays in a championship game?

cannot penalize teams for going out and winning in an inferior conference.

although the conference may be weaker, you only need 1 team to be at an elite level to make an argument for them to be in the title game.

championship is to decide best 2 teams, not which conferenecs "deserve" to be in

Couldnt help but notice that you and old school left Houston out of the mix. Do you two not feel they should be considered:shrug:

Bowl Champ. Series Poll results have Houston at 13th in the country.
No chance to play in the game for all the marbles.

Conversely Boise St. is in the top 5 of the Poll's and until they lose will be a contender to play one of God's team's for the title of best semi-pro team this season.

Why would an undefeated team be ranked so "low". Feel free to jump in addict as you pointed these things out in your post.

ask the computers...i dont rank em...if your asking me to explain why the computers have em ranked low, well that is something i cannot do.

i just dont think a team should be penalized for the conference they play in...

didnt say it was the correct way, just my opinion...

apparently the computers dont agree with me....

ask georgia if boise can play...

if they are going to have boise as a top 5 program, then you have to allow them to play for the title...

still not sure what you want me saying about houston??

if they get up to the top few spots, and are undefeated, then i would have no problem seeing them play the elite in a bowl game....

Conference play is a direct indicator to the quality of opponents you will play throughout the year. If you can?t penalize teams for their conference and based on what you are saying then Houston should be in the top 6 period.

I have said it before and will continue to say that Boise is a very good team that has to win 1-2 games a year to put themselves into the "race". That is unfair to everyone in a major conference, NOT JUST THE SEC.

Predictable shot with the UGA but I don?t need to ask them, as I have already told you they can play. Ask Michigan if Appalach can play, does that mean they would compete in the Big 10.

Bottom line is take a look at Boise?s schedule and tell me how many other teams in the country would be undefeated at this point. The answer is anywhere from 10-30.

Who's not "allowing" them to play?

I dont want you to say anything. If you cant see that all undefeated records are not the same and conferences and opponents are the very reason for that, then we will just agree to disagree.
